Still get the idea from this that we are waiting until we are officially relegated before getting rid of him

Agreed, if anything this is starting to feed the narrative to the media that there will be a parting of the ways once relegation is confirmed.

Watch us shithouse a 1-0 win at Forest and Top think that RVN is now a hero before giving him a new contract.

I do think that, being realistic about it, that as soon as a manager's future is being openly questioned, and talks about whether or not they should stay, mean that the question has usually been answered.

Unless we somehow pull out a Great Escape style run-in (which still won't be enough to survive), it's not even a question. He either goes when relegation is mathematically confirmed or it's announced when the final whistle blows at Bournemouth on the final day.

Beggars belief seriously

The last sentance is just RD opinion isn't it though?

I think when we are relegated it will be a "mutual consent" job; Ruud doesn't want to continue next season and we want a change of manager as well.

If we win a couple of games between now and the end of the season. I seriously think the decision makers at the club will consider letting him stay on if he wants to. That's how daft they are.

Ultimately, he has the name to get a job in the Middle East if he fancies it. He turned down a Championship job to be here, so I don't think he'd even want to be going to Oxford and Wrexham as a boss next season- especially after how sour it's turned here.

Earning more in Saudi would be much more like it.

In what world is it conceivable that he could be in charge next season?
Ffs he shouldn’t have been given till the end of this season let alone considering him starting next season.

No chance I reckon.

Look at the crowd that was there last Monday night. The board as hopeless as they are got the message loud and clear.

"no"

Cooper was getting 0.83 points per game, which over a season would get us 32 points, which would still have got us relegated. Add into the fact 5 of the points he won were against teams below us, makes me think the points per game would have dropped and we'd be pretty much where we are now. He got quite lucky with red cards and last minute goals against Southampton and Ipswich, and somehow Bournemouth not scoring despite being by far the better team.

We've basically been crap all season, with a false league position when he was sacked. But anyone outside of Leicester can't seem to see that.

If i recall, we had only played Arsenal from the top end of the table (i don't count Spurs anymore!).  I don't think we would have seen the Ruud drop off under Cooper, as i think this was caused by Ruud belligerently sticking to a plan/style, but i don't think Cooper would have maintained 0.83 ppg with the games he had coming up. To have had any chance, we needed one of Palace or Wolves to have stayed awful all season (i actually thought it might be Palace), but both have gone on pretty amazing runs and both hammered us.  We would have needed a turnaround like Wolves to have had any chance.

No matter what, we were doomed this season.

Surely if they were going to get rid of Ruud he would of been booted ages ago?

Not if he has a relegation clause that provides a reduced payout. I presume all parties are playing games with each other until its confirmed.

It’s a business and he has massively failed his remit, he will go down as one of the worst managers in prem history. If he is rewarded with more games next season Top clearly has stopped giving a fck, or such a fragile ego  he doesn’t want to be proved wrong about the appointment he wanted.

If they want fans to go into next season fully behind the team and manager it needs a fresh start with new ideas.

To be fair when we got to the point where relegation was undoubtedly going to happen, from a purely financial point of view if it saves a decent amount they might as well wait. We don't have a DOF who is proactive enough, or even has any ****ing authority any more.

If we had a director of football with a clear vision and philosophy put a coach in charge for the remaining games to coach something that aligned with the manager they have lined up, chuck in some youth players who will feature next season and give us all some hope.

I think we know which one they went for. Because we have a complete fraud employed by a man baby with absolutely no ****ing vision whatsoever.
