Terrible, negative set up by Dawson. There’s no way any of us would’ve started with that line up and yet we have a top level professional coach setting up to try and sneak a nil nil with a system that we haven’t used with players that haven’t played against an experienced team. Absolute shambles.

I hope Ruud's prepared for a re-build in the Championship, (with a pending points deduction??) as this lot are simply not good enough. They don't have the ability but more worryingly they don't want it as much as Brentford, and that's with the new boss looking on. Time for a huge clear out in the summer and to bring some youngsters through. Alves must be thinking wtf.

Forget Cooper or Dawson, this is all on the board.

 

It’s the same defence that got us relegated and we’ve wasted two matches (at least!) by not sacking Cooper before the international break. RVN doesn’t stand a chance trying to organise this mess ahead of Tuesday or even Sunday.

It is not the squad.

 

Our tactics is the key. Our shape is horrendous. Justin is always nowhere to be seen on the right defensively. Thomas doesn’t know what he is doing. And then we have Ndidi who is just a very poor player as a pivot.

 

Playing 3 at the back is suicidal. You can see why Enzo uses an inverted FB to play 4 at the back defensively, or why Cooper plays four at the back with one full back pushing up sometimes.

 

We absolutely need to get Skipp on for Ndidi first of all so we can get some control in midfield and be able to string a few passes together.

I'm not blaming JJ as much because he's been asked to play as a wingback and his positioning might not always be totally his fault.

 

Faes on the other hand.  Wow.  International player puts in [waves hand] *that* performance.

Ayew turns back towards our goal with every first touch, infuriating. He could have and should have put Vardy through twice in that first half and turned back and took too many touches both times. Get Mavididi on for him, let's get at them.

Yet when I said our window was a 1/10 - I got shot down.

 

Facundo is quality but have ZERO chance of signing him on a perm and ignored our obvious needs of FB’s and someone to burden the no. 9 with Vardy.

 

Skipp was a 1/3 of our budget and being kept out by Bouba 🤮
