Yes and if you play 2 central midfielders you don’t play Ndidi there! His lack of technical skills and poor positioning is simply stopping us from building anything. FFS, when are we going to learn that Ndidi cannot play there!!

1. Dawson is told to pick up the rubbish and RVN goes in.

 

2. Bring on Bilal, Stephy and Daka. I don’t care who for. 

 

3. Get Skipp on for Soumare. 
 

4. Tell them they’re all *****

With this formation yes. We have zero midfield with the formation and personel he's picked and absolutely nothing in attack. Should have been a back 4 all day long. Thomas, Coady/Faes, Soumare and Ayew should never have been on the pitch.

Well we can’t surely play this bad every game but every game will be tougher from now on out. Ruud has one hell if a challenge to keep us in the premier league. Despite our position Southampton and Ipswich look far better in every department

The thing is, we could play this formation but unless you have a Kante or some similar freak, you need to make it not a focus and stick it wide more often

Yeah, the midfield is realistically where most of this is going wrong - the two guys are outnumbered in there, have difficult decisions on how and when to press and can get played around far to easily.

 

Plus, as you say, Ndidi is no Pirlo in possession either, so he needs an option close to him that is that type of player so he can give it off to them.
