Self explanatory really. Following on from @tom27111 post.

For me when I was 14 I got an Airfix model of the Saturn 5 rocket that took the men to the moon.

As well as a Scalextric and an air rifle.

That was some Christmas.

Since then, before Covid, I was gifted a trial flying lesson and a supercar driving experience.

Anything else is pretty much lost in the mists of time.

Sega Megadrive, Christmas '92.

As a 7 year old I'd never heard of or seen a console before so was blown away by it. Unfortunately my Mum and Dad had no idea how to set it up properly so didn't get to play it until later that afternoon when the neighbour's son came round to help.

Turns out the controller was plugged into the Player 2 slot hence why it wasn't working.

Scaletrix for me too. Back in 1969 or 70.

My parents were very generous and thoughtful and family Christmases were wonderful in those distant days for a small boy.

Both of them died in 2024

I don’t remember getting any big presents as a child unlike my own kids who get a new device every year (spoilt brats) 😂 but Christmas 96 I got a Leicester goalie kit and a wwf winged eagle championship belt

I came from a one parent family, but my dear Mum somehow managed to buy my younger sister and I multiple expensive presents every Xmas.  We were very fortunate.  Difficult to name just one, but my first Action Man and first scalextric were very memorable.

Commodore Amiga. Batman pack. Joint present for me and my brother. It's a cliche but it changed my life and I ended up becoming a software engineer.

A portable tv, colour and with a remote control. Unprecedented in the early 80's. A few friends had really small black and white ones for their bedrooms but I'd never contemplated asking for one. Still remember the shock opening it.

I was only 11 or 12 but had I that tv for a good 25 years +

The Christmas presents I associate most with childhood in the 60s are annuals like The Victor and The Topical Times Football Book. Moving into adult times it would only be right to acknowledge I got engaged Christmas Eve 1976

I had a NES from about 1990, I loved it. Played it every day.

By Christmas 1995 it had become outdated and I asked my folks for a Mega Drive since all my mates had one and I could swap with them.

Christmas Day I open my “big present” to find something called a PlayStation which I’d never even heard of. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing when I turned it on.

I was the most arse-kissed bloke at school for about a year.

I got my first pair of slippers a few years ago and I haven’t looked back. Really is class wearing a good pair of slippers
