Still think Barnesy would suit playing as a striker, he’s clinical in front of goal and playing off the back 4 running in behind is set up for him. The heir to the crown of Vardy? We can dream 🤣

The only way it could possibly happen, and even then it's a long shot, is if we did a loan with an option to buy after offloading Mads in the summer.

Reminds me so much of a lad I grew up with playing with at Ibstock youth.

Stood on the touch line for the best part of the match with his hands tucked into his sleeve's (even during the summer) slated every single player for not passing to him, had legs like tooth picks, yet in the last minute would out muscle an absolute tank of a defender and casually stick one in the top corner from 30 yards and take the motm trophy home. lol

Barnes and KDH haven't got the charisma that Maddison has with the footballing media .... maybe that's a part measure in the equation 🤷🏻

What does this post even mean

Nah, KDH is just not at that level needed sadly  of a “big 6” club.

West Ham should be a good move

KDH has had one half decent season in the prem (21/22) and one good season in the championship at the age of 26

Oddest type of player I think I've seen. Can look dangerous af for ten mins then anonymous af the next 80 mins. His consistency has meant the move to Newcastle won't ever be topped in has career now I don't think. Not saying I wouldn't have him back but financially there's no way we could afford it

Barnes has to play for a side that presses high, and looks to win the ball back and counter. He is devastating on the break and requires the momentum of the game to be in his favour. He is never going to suit a team that likes to build the play and dominate possession. His skillset is very particular and I don’t think suits Newcastles style of play.

Allegedly Forest want him, which would suit his game more.

I’d take him back in a heart beat, he is exactly what we need right now, if I was offered Barnes or KDH, I’d take Barnes all day long.

Exactly. He even struggled with key parts of his game in the championship.

“Harvey’s been really unfortunate this year because he has played very well when he has been given the opportunity so I’ve got no issue with Harvey’s performances – and that’s quite rare when a player’s not playing, that I can say he’s performed really well,” Howe said.

“Look at his goal tally – he’s still up there as one of our leading scorers this season. The problem that I’ve had is fitting Harvey and Anthony Gordon into the same team, two outstanding players who play the same position.

“Harvey could easily get a run in the team, and I do believe he’ll be a consistent goalscorer for us or goal creator for us because that’s always been his way.

“When he’s played this season, especially as a substitute, he’s been fantastic for us. He’s really scored some vital goals and made some big contributions to us winning or drawing games.”

For me he wasn’t complicit as all the others in the relegation. Came across as genuinely caring. For me always a place for him here.

True but he was out on the piss most weekends and the season before

Would I take him back?….

he was not perfect and actually infuriating at times.

But yes 100%, he would be our best player and is always a danger of the opposition even if he is having a bad game. We should never have been a position where we had to shift him on.

Ayoze Perez isn't doing so bad (at international level).

As this isn't even a thing anyway, I'll throw in a hypothetical.  Assuming they cost the same, would you take Harvey back or Buo on a permanent?

Easy. Buonanotte all day as he's only just turned 20, while Barnes is now 27 (where has the time gone!).
