Well we’re both just speculating, back end of the season was slightly different as Gary obviously felt he had to trust experience rather than risk inexperience

When it comes to whether they wanted to manage his minutes, yes I am, but I'm not speculating when I say he's badly managed though. Rowett's theory was proven wrong time and time again so he should have deviated from it. Mavididi was a disgrace and Fatawu had even lost his game winning capabilities, yet Monga was sat on the bench game after game, with no other wide player available. That's just bad management. Needs must and all that.

 

Think I mentioned a few posts back about managing younger players but just think the context is different here; he was meant to be a key member of the squad this year and has barely played minutes wise.

Fair enough, I won’t betray a confidence but a couple of issues were witnessed and whether you believe me or not is no issue.Probably down to him just being a young kid with a lot of talk about him and possibly spending too much time surrounded by the bad eggs in our squad.

Well maybe both things are true? I just know that he's actually quite introverted (despite the hype he's probably had his whole life), so he's much more in the background than somebody who's going around displaying a bad attitude

Based upon what ? I am not being difficult I just do not see it - very few 16 year olds make the transition at such a young age and I know it’s a sh*t show at seagrave but when I have seen him ressies and first team he looks okay but no more plus his work ethic is poor for someone so young……genuinely hope your right and maybe you know more than me?

Has loads of tricks, just needs to grow stronger, not convinced by his work rate, but we don’t know what role he has been asked to play.Definitely not in the top 10 problems this year

He's 16 and has 1 less G/A contribution in the league than Mavididdy despite playing nearly 3x times less than him.

Not a problem or reason for the league position but a massive let down of talent that could’ve been an easy win to get the fans back on side. 

 

He needs to learn how to play in a team,

pass the ball and move.  He played just like Mavadidi but he actually managed a nutmeg or two so looked better. Paige looked more advanced as a team player. 

 

Poor coaching and management means he is still the selfish yet skilful kid filming tricks with his mates or skinning the u21s. 
 

He will be good once he gets into a coaching system that has a clue and drills into players useful tactics. His skills should be a tool to get himself out of tough situations, rather than manufacturing their opportunity to do step overs.

From his body language it seems his head has been turned and he is thinking about  elsewhere. He does not display the verve and enthiasm you normally see from young players of his age.

It's a pity because he obviously has talent and could be a very exciting player in the future but there's a long way to go yet and many pitfalls to overcome.

I think as fans we have to take into consideration the way he is being coached, what is being asked of him in situations, who he is looking to learn from, there are so many variables to consider as well as the possibility of having his head turned.

 

I have no doubt though that Seagrave hasn't been the most positive place to be around this season, which is where a dip in form or confidence could well have come into play

16 years old, surrounded by the worst set of ‘professionals’ in our history and turmoil behind the scenes, but he’s not good enough?! He’s not Messi or Yamal obviously, but cut the kid some slack. Even if he does want to move on, can you honestly blame him with the state of this club. He’s looked lost and burdened by the situation we’ve found ourselves in I must admit, but his time will come. Unfortunately more than likely it’ll be elsewhere

That’s why he turned into Mongadidi and even had a little go at the Ayew skill set of falling over the invisible foot. 
 

Poorly coached and managed.  Clowns that let them get on with it rather than fix the obvious

 

Once he is at a serious club and learns how to pass and move, he will be a very good player.

I think there is value in not throwing either of them in that shower of shit last season too if I’m being honest. Not an environment you want to become a regular in.
 

If Man Utd sign them they wouldn’t be for the first team either it’ll be for their U23 sides with multiple loans prior to being considered for their first team or sold for a profit. It’s the model all big clubs are following as youth investment does not count towards FFP.

It's about here and now for me even with these two. You see the garbage served up by who actually played and it's hard to believe they would've done any worse.

The big issue for me is all relegation has done has made players like Page, Monga, Aluko and Nelson all very attainable at knock down prices, so rather than the much needed clear out of our waste of space senior players and the opportunity to build with a lot of academy players, they will be gone and highly likely a good few of the bad eggs will still be here stinking the gaff out. 
 

What an utter mess and still some choose to bury their heads in the sand and pretend everything is ok.
