Doesn't really bother me tbh. Others get riled up about it. Must be something missing in their lives

It certainly seems to matter to you. You know nothing about my life. I'll remember not to correct you in a light hearted way, or at all, in future.

The simple fact of the matter is that 95% of this club is utter dog mess and the remaining 5% will have to be sold to pay for it.

Rudkin, Top and Whelan all have to go. They're running the club into the muck.

Did I refer to you?

My responses were as light hearted as yours.

Anyway, life goes on.

You were the one saying "Jeez" and "FFS". I didn't. But for the record, I apologise from the bottom of my heart for correcting you. But I wasn't the only one.

Does it REALLY MATTER though, in the scheme of things?

No.

Wood,  Woods. So what.

There used to be topic titled pedantry central. You should look it up.

Anyways,  back to the footballs we were shits.

We played OK in the first half and I thought we looked well balanced. BUT once again we were too timid, slow and casual, wasting time knocking it around at the back when we should have shown urgency from the off and gone for the jugular.

Palace looked poor but at halftime they sensed how tentative we were and decided we were beatable so went for it themselves… and scored. After that- not for the first time - we never looked like getting back into the game.

As for the subs… taking our only two creative players off at 0-1 was plain stupid.

This club has performed miracles before… but it ain’t happening with this miserable team, is it? They are just not good enough. And neither is the manager.

Absolutely awful performance tonight, really have to question why we as fans bother to go at times.

There's so much wrong with this team it's shocking!

The back four all need replacing. Not a single one of them is PL standard. Until that happens we'll not improve.

Our movement in the final third is also non-existent. The amount of times tonight the ball was picked up in midfield and Winks in particular looked up and there were no options on. He looked so frustrated with the situation. What are the coaching staff doing in training, or is this simply down to the fact that the FBs can't defend and the wingers are having to cover so deep that it's impossible for them to get that far forward on the turnover?!?

Our patterns of play to the eye look like they've improved which is a positive since RVN came in, however we're still conceding two goals every game, and no team can stay up under those circumstances. Furthermore, whereas before we were at least scoring goals, they've now dried up too.

RVN needs to sort the defence out ASAP if we're to stand any chance of surviving because we're giving ourselves way too much to do every game.

I felt for Vards tonight. Absolutely love the bloke as a player, but he's no longer the man who can be our saviour. No team with any aspiration of survival in the PL should be relying solely on a 38 year old as their goalscorer for the entirety of a season. His age is catching up with him and he should be our option off the bench rather than starting every game. That said, Daka certainly isn't the man to replace him so we need to consider other options.

Having now had a chance to catch up with the TV highlights and watch the goals back, both are truly awful.

I've been relatively supportive of Jannick until now, but after watching that 1st goal back, what on earth was he doing? Mateta is literally next to him throughout the whole play and he still let's him get on his wrong side.

As for the 2nd, some serious questions need to be asked about our defending of that set piece. When the ball is played into the box we have 7 Leicester outfield players plus the keeper defending against 5 Palace players. Neither CB is picking anyone up. Justin and Skipp are both man marking the same player who incidentally is the man Faes should be marking. As a consequence with Justin positioned centrally he's not covering the right side leaving McAteer responsible for looking after Guehi. The whole thing is just a mess, and you have to question whether this how they're being coached to defend such situations, and if it is who is responsible as they need to be shown the door sharpish.

To conclude my cheerful summary, Palace were almost as bad as us tonight, but yet again just like the Wolves game we've not only thrown away an opportunity to get some points on the board but we've also given a direct competitor the chance to put a bit of daylight between us. We either need to back RVN in the transfer market this window and go for broke, or accept we've got the appointment completely wrong and look to appoint someone who can actually set this lot up to stop conceding sloppy goals left, right, and centre.

Just watched the goals again. You lose the words for our defence. Awful for both goals again. Sure we created plenty of chances tonight and on another night the result could be different but we’re so void of anything. The gap in the midfield between Winks and Soumare and the 3 attacking mids is like a cavern at times. Lightweight rubbish throughout the squad. we’ve had our time for miracles, one more is surely beyond this lot.

I think we will be cut far adrift soon from the other teams above us.

Laughable now, that some said our squad was good enough to finish mid-table.

Woeful squad, inexperienced Manager, and total mismanagement from Top and Rudkin.

High chance we we will be relegated again, and nailed on, that lessons won't be learned once again.

I think Top should move on, and we should clear house and actually rebuild properly this time.

That won't happen though, and so best case scenario is that Top clears house everyone below.

New DOF and a Manager that wants to build something from the bottom up over 3-4 years.

Trying to look to the future, as the present is pretty dire right now.

Given a massive lifeline this season with that points deduction avoidance and this is what we serve up. It's just abject. First half was OK without any real product. Second half was utterly woeful and as per the last god knows how many games, just blatantly a team that will be relegated. Put us out of our misery.

Top & Rudkin out.

A fairly good first half where we dominated possession and dictated the tempo of the game almost from start to finish but that was then followed by a lacklustre ten minute period at the start of the second half which has ultimately cost us the game.

We always look at our best when we manage to find Bilal or Buonanotte in the space behind our opponents midfield. Unfortunately far too often our defence is too slow in getting the ball into their feet.

I hope we make a few more signings asap! It is desperately needed. Especially in defence.

We won't be so lucky next season in the championship,we'll end up a Blackburn/stoke type team

Going to be so funny imagining Top asking Michael Beale to have us play Enzo ball because ‘he likes it’
