we really are an odd bunch.

Some genuinely think no-one should ever complain ever, no matter what shit is served up, no matter how much they are charge to watch that same shit, it's just the mentality of the vast majority of English fans, why that is I don't know....maybe brainwashing?  Most struggle to think for themselves or dare to have an opinion different to the masses.

I think there is a general air that people aren't bothered what happens. "We'll be there whatever" is noble but allows apathy. The whole point is that, whilst being in the Championship and League One- we didn't want to be there! Fans complained in the 90s and 00s in those halcyon days of second tier struggle. Martin O'Neill got slaughtered because it looked like he wasn't going to achieve promotion.

And, as others have said, why is this love for the club and owners not replicated in the stands? Surely it should be drowning out the negativity?

If these people online opened their mouths in the ground we'd have decent support.

But they don't. It's just online for show and that's why they should be ignored.

I suspect that most of those criticising are never in the ground preferring not to go out in the cold and fog when they can watch subscription channels and illegal streams at home. We are, after all, there to provide an enhanced viewing experience for those that chose to be armchair supporters.

He’s talking about the happy clappers who are saying you should get behind the lads no matter what etc.

Very few of them will be spending thousands each year following the club, it’s just to show social media they’re a better fan than 99% of others because they’re constantly behind their team.

The amount of people clapping them off in the kop tonight was disturbing.

Not even a little round of applause, folk were Banging their clappers above there heads full pelt.

Shower of *****. Back the lads.

Was the same against wolves. I asked 2 blokes how they could clap that shit off and the reply was "because we support the team, no one has made you come."

Nothing will change with these people in the crowd.

Taken from Facebook. This sums up a lot of ours fans. They’ll just accept anything. KPFC instead of LCFC for them.

Anyone ever commenting on someone's Facebook post just to say "Well done" should be shot in the face with one of those bean bag guns the police use for crowd control.

If ever you want to see the kind of people that clap the team off defeat after defeat, just go onto Facebook.

90% of this forum are on the same page and know we're fvcked.

Facebooks like lala land.

"You must be new".... " but we won the league "..... " but it was worse 104 years ago "

Everything that's wrong with our support is pretty much encapsulated in any one Facebook thread.

Tbf, MON's start was worse than Cooper's and in a division lower.

I wonder how many calling out the fans for not protesting don't actually attend a game?

People choose how to support their club, it doesn't make them any less of a supporter because they do it in a different way to you.

I wish we were louder, I wish the support was younger but I'm 64 and I'm not going anywhere just so somebody can get a season ticket that they'll probably relinquish the minute we get relegated or they start a family.

Cooper was hounded out and never given a fair crack of the whip. Are the same fans turning on RVN yet?

The current team as evolved due to bad

Strategy and previous mismanagement.

It's like a cult. Has been for years though.

I mentioned the ‘cult’ word in another thread. We all need to belong somewhere and find identity somehow, and to various degrees we all buy in to ‘The Cult Of KP’.

A common trait of cults is that the members worship the leaders without question and shoot down anyone who dares to criticise them. That trait is certainly present in some of our fanbase.

Only on internet apps though. Mute in the ground where it actually counts.

This is it for me.

“I support my club through thick and thin! 🦊 “ = I am West Stand mute and value Ian Stringer’s opinion.
