Why? I’ve been suggesting him for a while has 12 months left on his contract. Him or Jason Knight I would love in the box to box midfielder role.

I would've thought his aspirations would be bigger than us. Would love to be wrong

With these latest transfers out of the club done or near enough, I make it that we now have 24 players in the squad that would require registration to play… so that possibly means we could see an incoming transfer soon!

So that’s best part of 30m in and 20m of profit - nobody is coming in for soumare , faes , vesty or daka so we are stuck with them - last remaining questions are on BEK and Justin and if those moves happen - I would guess they aren’t as urgent now with the 3 gone but who knows how bad the situation really is - surely we now make real good use of the loan system - it’s 4 we are allowed isn’t it ? 2 from prem and 2 more from abroad or have I got that wrong ?

number 8 and striker are priority with just the 3 gone and then obviously is bek or Justin go we need to fill those 2 gaps as well

if you look at the squad with just the 3 gone we have 2 players for every position apart from in centre midfield where we now really only have 4 covering 3 spaces in the team and only bek is attacking - we need another attaching cm no doubt even if bek stays

A few more of the dead wood gone; and call me crazy, but with a decent quality striker and 1 or ideally two new centre mids, I’d be confident we’ll have a team not only capable for the championship, but also one that would have a good go in the prem.

I love this kid on footy manager lol Would be a

good option, I’ve got my head stuck on it being Finn Azaz.

Should've got him when he was Plymouth, out of our price range now

Agreed they picked him up for £2m. But I don’t think he’s out of our price range if Bilal’s release clause gets activated. I think around £15m + add ons would get it done.

Hayden Hackney would be my preference, if BEK goes.

If we have to go cheap / loan and somehow move out Soumare then I wouldn’t necessarily mind someone like Ward-Prowse

I can’t remember the last time we had an actual proper good set piece taker, Paul Gallagher maybe?

They got relegated to the Brazilian 2nd division as well.

Would be gutted if BEK left, but looking around for a potential replacement, he could get better suitors, but Tobias Gulliksen at Djurgarden would be absolutely perfect.

Has been playing as a CAM, but very much like BEK, he can drift into wide areas. He has a better burst of pace than BEK, that would also make him suitable to play as a winger if needs be.

As this article states, he likes to drop into half-spaces, contributes to third-man patterns and is a tenacious presser.

Everything we’ve seen under Marti ball, making Gulliksen the ideal fit if BEK does go.
https://the-footballanalyst.com/tobias-gulliksen-player-analysis/#:~:text=On the ball%2C Gulliksen plays,a creator and a finisher.

BEK replacement option 2.

Dominik Fitz - Austria Wien.

Very consistent numbers in recent season’s, but last season was his best season to date, 12 goals, 15 assists in the Austrian Bundesliga. He has started this season in hot form too, scoring and assisting in Austria Wien’s first league game, while in Europa Conference League qualifiers, he has 3 goals, 3 assists in 3 games.

Very much like BEK and Gulliksen, he can also operate from wide and deeper areas. In terms of goal and creation numbers from last season, his stats were ridiculous.

Kian Best loan

Is this inside knowledge? Was at Preston very highly thought of but didnt get offered a new deal due to alleged issues with his attitude. Not sure he is a starting XI signing too be honest, would rather we kept Tom Wilson Brown

Over the past three seasons is the stretch where he’s started to take off. After what he produced last season and how he’s started this season, maybe this is the summer someone takes a chance on him.

Prime age, would probably cost around the £5 million range, potential there to be a shrewd pickup.

He can also take set pieces!

Something we desperately need , if Ayew is playing we really need him in the box not taking corners, get Harry Kane euros 2016 vibes
