Daka is an effective as Cannon.

I said it.

But he isn’t. We saw that last season. Cannon scored more goals in half a season for a poor Stoke side than Daka managed in the whole of last season for the champions.

Fact.

He hasn't got a bad record though has he? He's 22. Been playing for a crap stoke side this season and did well for Preston.

Take his freak game against Portsmouth out and he's scored 13 Championship goals from open play in 55 appearances (nearly 4000 minutes - roughly 44 full games worth).

For £10m rising to £13m, it's good business. Especially when you listen to Stoke fans who say that he's nothing but a finisher.

yep, but he's foxestalks chosen scapegoat for the crime of not being Vardy, so he'll get dogs abuse for absolutely no reason.

I think alot of the people saying how good he's been haven't actually watched him at Stoke. Just seen some figures.

I'm guessing.

He's been pretty ordinary hasn't he? I know he scored 4 in one game and a fair few pens but other than that he's never stood out every time I've seen him. I appreciate Stoke have been struggling as a whole so we'll see how this move works out to a more positive side, but it's not terrible business if we're looking at this transfer alone, as it is.

Completely depends on what the money is re-invested in.

If it's on a player that immediately improves our first team in a position we're short, I can get behind it. If we waste it or don't spend it at all, shambles.

So many short sighted people here.

Poor Tom has been treated so poorly. He showed his potential during the Championship season, and we could have used it during the next Championship season. Let's face it, we are going down, those that don't think so are kidding themselves. And Cannon could have led our line after Vardy retires at the end of the season, which I can see being a real possibility.

A nonsensical decision by a club that lumbers from one disastrous, mind-boggling decision to another. And anyone saying we are making profit, are very much mis-informed in the grand scheme of things. Get the board gone.

Daka gets criticised for absolutely no reason?

As if we didn't need a finisher...

Absolutely no idea why we bought him anyway in the first place

Shambles

It´s a bit strange. They bought him even though he was out for 3 months injured, then from mid-January onwards he was kept out of the team by Daka, who they´d spent the previous summer trying to get rid of.

More so. It's not popular to say. But when Daka came in last season he was more effective than any of our strikers. He fell off a cliff though after a couple of misses.

Yes, he’s clearly a player that needs space in front of him.

He’s more suited to a counter attacking team or playing against team he can press then exploit that space.

As teams adapted last season and dropped deeper, he wasn’t as effective.

He’s got good technique but he’s clearly had some moments when he’s missed big chances. That Leeds one stands out as a pivotal moment confidence wise.

Cannon is a different type of player. He actually reminds me a bit of Under or even Ben Marshall, in that he picks the ball up around the 18 yard box and just takes pop shots. He’s Peps worst nightmare. This lowers his conversion rate and he’s actually padded out his stats by scoring penalties.

Only time will tell really, however neither are ideal first choice forwards in the Premier League.

This is good business.
