Hardly justice

Once the murder charge was dismissed by the jury then this was inevitable

I don’t know enough about the case and assume none of us know anything about the two children other than what they’ve been convicted of.

I understand your points. 12 months and 2 to 3 years doesn't seem long enough though I can see this happening.

The Bulger killers got 8 and that was before justice was reformed

Trump pausing tariffs already. Is he bipolar? Or just absolutely off his rocker?

With a bit of luck an asteroid will land on the White House soon with him and his rank pals in it . Knowing our luck he would still survive

Well if it ends up with a bandage over his mouth rather than his ear I'd take that.

Also earlier he was saying to ‘stay cool’. Now this. So who’s whispered in his ear?

Don’t make the mistake of assuming that beneath his mad exterior, Trump is a rational actor and that there is a plan. He isn’t and there isn’t.

I think the length/type of punishment is decided by the judge using legal precedent unless a higher court, such as the court of appeal/House Of Lords/TECOHR sets a different precedent.

"In the UK legal system, legal precedent, also known as stare decisis, means that courts are bound by previous decisions of higher courts on similar legal issues, ensuring consistency and predictability in the law".

The game of tariff tennis with China continues, 125% now from the US. But also a pause on the rest of the tariffs, which can only be good?

Only the reciprocal tarrifs paused

the 10% stays and the 25% auto also

A cynic may muse that 90 days allows current orders in production to be fulfilled and shipped into the USA before >10% tariffs introduced.

It makes sense if you consider every move in the lens of "how can i get the most attention."

This representative nailed it.

Probably one of the best. Destroyed him. Made him look like a toddler about to piss his pants

Bond prices dropped hard.  Same thing that happened to Truss - US borrowing costs on 30 year bonds pushed higher than GREECE.

Sadly I think he has probably damaged US economic position in the world permanently - they have been the backstop for a generation or more, and ironically that inward investment and holding of hard currency and bonds had filled their trillion dollar trade deficit.  Hard to see how they do that now.  Still China hasn't dumped its US bonds yet, although one might note they have shifted an unbelievable amount of money from them into Gold in the past decade so you could argue they are well placed to **** the US to a level never seen before.  We can only hope they still see the need for a reasonable strong US market for their goods.

you know trump aims for 2 things, you either think he is a genius and worship him or you think he is unimaginably stupid. he’s neither… he’s just pure evil.

What’s fairly evident is that this is all part of a scam to manipulate the markets for his gain and his funders. Don’t be fooled into thinking he’s just dumb he wants you to think that because then he doesn’t get held accountable for what is the biggest market manipulation of all time.

Behind all the dumb… more often then not is a motive to manipulate and get reactions of some kind. Nobody is as dumb as he appears lol

"Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don’t mean to do harm, but the harm (that they cause) does not interest them.
Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves."
