Martyn Glover should be sacked immediately, he’s completely inept at finding the talent required, he’s as culpable at Rudkin in all this

BEK and Fatawu?

Worth remembering Cooper wanted premier league experience and was keen on Skipp!!

No doubt restructuring is needed and I’m certain an organised competent DOF would decide what does and doesn’t work and make required changes.

What baffles me is that we don't even seem to be preparing in the correct manner for life in the Championship!

As a business owner, you simply have to run all scenarios on likelihoods. We are odds on to go down. We should be getting players in that COULD show some grit for the remainder of this season (to potentially help us pull off an escape) but also are 'guaranteed' to be great for us in Championship.

There is absolutely ZERO plan

Probably cos they think we get kicked down to league 1 with EFL making example of us. Honestly agree with you though

The huge question is who is responsible for the Skipp / Ayew / BDCR deals….

Has Cooper suggested Skipp?

Was the brief to Glover “find me two experienced PL wide attacking mids”

If Glover came up with these transfers aligned to a strategy given to him by his boss (Rudkin) who was responding to a request from his 1st team manager (Cooper), then Glover takes no blame at all.

Whatever the truth, you can be sure that Rudkin is in Top’s ear blaming someone else

My only hope is this is where we have previously thrived... might need a few years in the Championship though.

How are we missing out for Marcus Edwards from sporting on loan with a obligation to buy for 8mill...

We should be all over that, surely better or different option to what we have now

It's been like this for years unfortunately, the whole operation is run by chancers who are out of their depth.

There hasn't been a long term plan since Vichai died, I know Vichai wasn't perfect, but he had a dream and a plan and everything he did was to achieve that, even when he got it wrong he would course correct.

Since then we have fumbled along season to season just about doing the bare minimum while clubs overtook us and we admired ourselves and slowly let standards slip every year, no real footballing plans, it's only been about increasing the brand, forgetting it's only as good as the team on the pitch.

Have a threadbare squad ready to rebuild on a shoestring from the Championship

I assume the plan is to sell before 30 June to comply with PSR for this year, then invest in the squad from 1 July for the Championship season.  How much money there is to invest remains to be seen, but you'd imagine the club is hoping that some of the development squad players step up because we won't be able to buy an entire new squad.

I don't think it will be on a shoestring

The biggest issues from a PSR/P&S were the mammoth losses in 21/22 and 22/23., which will drop off.

We have some sellable assets

Everyone loves a fresh face, but weirdly, I'm not too bothered about not signing anyone.

I genuinely don't think we could get anyone who will change the outcome this season

Short of 4-5 very good additions, we're down. It won't even be close once Wolves pull away.

I would probably much rather rebuild in the summer for life on the Championship

We're fvcked, and ain't no one available in the January market that's going to change that.

In the same camp and have been for a while. We can barely get one transfer over the line, we are hamstrung by PSR and not an attractive club in a precarious position. We need 4 or 5 players to change the route this ship is sailing - just call us the titanic.

Im similar, although a fit Ndidi plus Ricardo might be enough to see us stumble over the line.

A loan CB would be of use, Huth style, though I would also like to see us use Okoli more.

Their incompetence really does know no bounds. I'm surprised it still surprises me but they go above and beyond every window.

This club is in serious trouble.

To defend Glover he was given a remit in the summer to sign premier league experience , rightly or wrongly he did that

Whose to say he hasn't identified players in this window or the previous windows and then it's fell on Rudskin to negotiate deals and he's failed to do so

If we'd gone for very little activity to balance the books I'd have accepted that.

If we'd gone for a bigger spend to gamble on staying up, with some young sellable assets, I could have accepted that.

Instead we took our small budget and spunked in on Oliver ****ing Skipp.

22/23 isn’t dropping off

Next January we will be submitting accounts for 24/25 It will also be more restrictive due to the reduction in PSR

Based on?

Our main striker is 38

his replacement has about 1 goal in 24, then there is no out and out striker if Cannon isn’t replaced.

Edouard would hardly give a shit if he is called upon after not even being in the match day squad for the 11th time in the last 12 games.
