Really odd bloke, elite mentality but very strange. Watching him working on NFL coverage even makes me uneasy

I always preferred Payton Manning anyway :P

With the exception of Kyogo, I'm not impressed with Birmingham's signings at all. He and Stansfield are the only players they have, which would make our matchday squad.

I know it's popular to criticize a lot of our players, but the truth is, that's largely because they're not good enough for the league above, they're standout players at this level.

Take Faes, a lot of our fans don't like him, but he was clearly a level above when he played two years ago, it was absurdly easy for him. He's in the debate for the best CB at this level. Even Ndidi stood out 'technically' at this level, and we know he's a technically limited at Premier League level.

I think people will be pleasantly surprised how comfortable guys like Kristiansen and even Skipp, look at this level, although they shouldn't be, as I really don't think this level is any more difficult than two years ago. Unlike last time we were here, we've also got an array of exciting young talent chomping at the bit to get involved.

The only team that can prevent us winning this League, is us. This squad has a lot of advantages over the one which was last at this level, it's 100% stronger, purely down to the fact that Hermansen, Stolarczyk, Fatawu etc were unproven. Thomas/Kristiansen > Doyle, Okoli/Nelson > Coady, BEK and KDH cancel each other out. Monga is going to be so much more of a threat than Akgun. Ndidi is going to be the one we miss, the physicality especially. Whilst Vardy is of course our greatest ever player, his decline over the last 4-5 years has meant often we really struggle to link up play make it stick, for all the criticism, Ayew will make Fatawu/Mavididi more threatening than Vardy could.

Fujimoto on a free is great business

Funny how Ipswich are the overwhelming favourites out of the three that came down and yet lost their top scorer and were even worse than we were last season. They were the absolute pits.

Let Ipswich and Brum and of course fvcking Wrexham take all the limelight and that might help us not being being favourites. Ipswich basically signed a load of really good championship players last year like Jack Clarke, Philogene, Greaves etc so they should be strong but not overwhelmingly so. Every job in the prem that comes free will be linked with McKenna aswell.

I think Birmingham get top 6, probably stronger than Ipswich were when they were promoted. Hope I’m wrong because the whole Tom Brady playing the boss is putrid and this stuff needs to get out of our institutions

Did Ipswich change that much from League 1, it felt like it was very much all about momentum. Birmingham have a stronger squad but their team will likely be very different to last year I'm guessing

Ipswich bought really well for this season, last year. The likes of Clarke, Philogene, Smzodics will all be top players again at this level. I like their signing in central midfield too, although they do need another body in that position.

Personally, think they will beat Birmimgham relatively comfortably tomorrow night. Still expect Brum to be around play offs though.

Wrexham aren't in the conversation. You don't add Ward, Coady and Moore to a league one squad and become promotion contenders.

If they stabalise and avoid the drop this year, considering the speed of their climb it'll be a success in itself.

Birmingham on the other hand have a lot of financial power and can almost match us 3 teams that have come down. Not to say they'll be up there, but there's no reason they shouldn't if they get it right.

I was feeling pretty bullish about Ipswich for a while. They bought good Champ quality, seemingly accepting early that they were going to drop and determined to put themselves in a good position to bounce back. They've also kept their manager, adding stability compared to the other two relegated teams.

Then I saw them at our place. Not the best of games by any stretch but the fact they kind of limped to a 0-2 against us, who were awful, was a bit of a red flag for me.

They'll be in the mix for sure, but I think a lot could hinge on the start. Birmingham, Southampton, Sheff Utd all in their first 5 games, if they have a good start they'll coast it but equally a lot of nervousness could creep in.

Did you see him for Celtic, his movement was insane.

Oh I’ll definitely be wrong. I just see him as one of those players everyone hypes up and is then really underwhelming

Strange guys but their listener base are not the yoyo clubs its the clubs that have been in the division for years and years that they need to please and want to keep happy. We maybe listen for a year then unfollow them again.

True! I only checked it out to see their atrocious takes about us but then still wasn't prepared for how bad it was! Think they hated us last time, both are Derby fans anyway...

NTT20 Podcast whether you agree with them or not actually have reasonings behind their opinions.

The Second Tier podcast I’ve never actually listened to but going off their twitter account they’re more interested in engagement bait and getting clicks.

Ipswich will lose Hutchinson, taking Delqp and him out of that squad weakens them significantly

Still a load stronger than when they went up the year before.

Both Ipswich and Southampton will be better versions of themselves imo.
