Anyone criticising Ipswich, you should see the Derby time wasting before judging the extra time added on, it was Italian levels and frankly I'm glad they got done Because of it in the end.

Plus the ref denied them an absolute stonewalled and Derby scored with 2 long ball punts.

Victory for football that Ipswich equalised, a shocking result for them regardless!

Don't wish it on anybody but at the same time ffs, they might have a competent goalie in net against us

If you’re on the bench in place of Danny ward you’re not competent

Realistically, results couldn't have have gone much better for us than that.

Given points deductions could happen, I think the season has started off well for us.

Last time we were in the Championship we, Leeds and Southampton were miles better than anyone else. Then add in Ipswich who rode on a wave of momentum.

Early days, but it doesn’t look like the division will have so many outliers this time around. It’s poor to average including us.

The immensely frustrating thing is that it really wouldn’t take much investment in the transfer market to elevate us to automatic promotion hot favourites. Literally 2 or 3 players could do it but, sadly, still no real links

If we took a 9 point deduction we’d only be 3 points behind Ipswich and level with sheff Utd

League wont be happy with how things are playing out. Trying to find how to deduct us 20 now lol.

This is very true, we've ended up in the top 4 despite playing games largely at 3-4/10 until last night. In Cov and Stoke, a couple more of the early pace setters were humbled today, there is no runaway favourite. It bodes well for us to at least make the playoffs.

I just can't get my head around the club’s lack of business this summer.  Yes PSR, cutting our cloth etc. but the money we make by going back up surely warrants chucking a few quid at a striker and perhaps one or two other key positions. Particularly given outgoings.

Though trying to understand the inner workings of our glorious leaders minds is probably futile.

Any chance our insane levels of thriftiness this summer are to prevent any points deduction? Is that possible?

There comes a point where surely you think a marquee striker wins us far more points than those we get deducted.

100% agree with this. The league is a lot weaker in terms of quality.

However, it's how we react. And it's a concern. We need investment in a few areas, it's clear to see.

Seems to be an amazing amount of added time in games today look at Ipswich Millwall or Man U v Burnley

Apparently was a bad injury in the former .

Latter is Old Trafford isn’t it .

Two moments of individual magic got us a point.

Stunning free kick again from our Aussie lad

Got to take that as probably were second best against a strong side but battled hard and improved as the game went on .

Side point but Sunderland are so far proving that the 'unbridgeable gap' is a myth. Their squad was garbage on paper but they've made some shrewd signings and are playing as a proper unit.

Think some, not just us but other teams that have yo-yoed, have used it as an excuse, and a patronising one at that, for piss-poor recruitment and management decisions. The bottom half of the Prem is as bad as ever, teams have just fallen for the hype.

There will always be around 5 shit teams so still a chance for promoted teams, Wolves and Brentford don't look great so far

Think the difference this year may be that some of those who scraped by have been pillaged. Wolves lost Ait Nouri, and Cunha, with Strand Larson potentially going. Brentford are without Frank, Wissa, Mbeumo.

If Spurs and Utd hadn't focussed entirely on Europe last season I think we'd have seen 17 teams finish on 40+ points. I'm not sure the promoted sides this season will be hitting those figures.

Also, it's been 3 games and they've beat Brentford and West Ham. Let's see where they are come May.

Agree, although I do think the prem is weaker in the bottom half this season. Brentford, Wolves and maybe even a Birghton slipping.

Us, Southampton, Ipswich, Sheffield United, Coventry. Who's the 6th?

Birmingham were 4th favourites before the season started.. we were 6th. Assuming partly due to the unknown deduction

Worth recalling that Sunderland were heading out of the Play Off final, trailing to Sheff United who were outplaying them, and Sunderland  looked like they'd run out of ideas when they got a goal against the run of play and it all changed.

Sliding doors moment.

I would imagine after we spent a fortune on transfer fees and wages, it then didnt go to plan so most of the fans blamed the board and slagged off Top immensely. He might have though f**k it why should we bother investing
