Comments like this make me laugh. Don't you think about your own club before having an uneducated dig at another club?

We beat QPR 7-1. You lost to them 4-1. There's a little difference there.

Buy lots of players? If you want a decent chance of staying up you need to reinforce your squad. But I'd prefer to go with what we have now than spend a fortune signing players not good enough on massive wages that nobody is willing to take on after relegation.

And not improved for a few years? Does this include losing in the FA cup semi final to Manchester United on pens after having the winning goal wiped out for the slightest offside you could get?

Nobody gives a 💩about Cov mate.  A tinpot club that’s hardly won anything and trying to force a rivalry with us 😂

Do you know it’s uneducated then? Comments like that make me laugh.

You’re better than us this year, there’s a first time for everything. This will be your second best season EVER.

Come back on here when you’ve achieved what we have since the 90’s.

Your basis of comparing one fixture is weird when it was 0-0 between with us being the better side and then you beating us 3-1 when we blew the league away in 23/24. Odd comment.

BUT, this championship is undoubtedly weaker than 23/24.

You have the players. We saw that in our game. The two problems you do have is a lack of goalscorers and a clueless manager. In the game against us it was as though you were trying to miss the target and not score. Strangely enough you're about the best side we've played against all season. Bristol City are the best counter attacking side.

23/24 was a strong year just like last year was. This season isn't poor. All you have to do is look at the relegated sides. All 3 thought it would be a walk in the park just like they did last season when only 1 side went up. The only side that went up were so defensively boring and are being shown up for what they are.

After years of the same clubs bouncing between the divisions the gap has closed. Several Prem sides are having financial problems because of the constant overspend trying to compete or stay up. At the same time the Championship sides have been improving.

We showed what we can do against Prem sides in the cup. We kept our side together even though we received big bids for some of our best players. We were lucky to have got another good manager. I would fancy our chances against a bottom half Prem side with a 1st choice side especially at home. We've done this by only spending what we have coming in. But what we do have is a very close bunch of players that give 100% every game even when we're behind.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Nobody cares yet there's constant comments about us on here 😂

About half of my family are Leicester. The Prem win was fantastic. Rivalry? Other than 2 games a season I'm more interested in the sides around my own. After our game earlier in the season I'm surprised you're not one of our rivals this season. But are you going to pretend you don't care about our game next month? It's what we thrive on. There's always an extra buzz with local games.

A tin pot club who didn’t have a stadium to play in for years. This season got a long way to go if you are lucky you might make the playoffs

Is Big Frank falling apart?
Honestly, can’t see Cov being in the top 2 come May. Decent start but we know Frank cracks when the pressure is on, and the closer Boro and Ipswich get, the more mistakes he’ll make.

I admire your courage, I really do.

Football isn’t what it was 5-6 years ago, let alone 20-30.

Enjoy.

There are signs. They shouldn’t have got anything yesterday and didn’t deserve to beat Bristol.

There was always going to be at least a blip, the test now is if they can get back on auto promotion form.  Ipswich are good enough to get there if they cant get the PPG back up.

Did well last season but they probably hoped to push on a bit .

Albeit were always expected to struggle

Strange one, but I can see why. They have been poor, but they really haven't got the squad to compete. A double edge sword. Maybe they were hoping to cement themselves as a stable championship club with their new stadium plans going in, so think they have a better chance to survive with another manager.

1 win in 9 appears to be what earned him the sack

Losing to Charlton didn't help, and probably Swansea too.

Their results against the better clubs have been okay. Took points off Ipswich, Cov, Bristol City, Middlesbrough... us

You just know our club would be absolute assholes about it and sell it on for double the price or something.

Yep. They'd also send an email asking why you weren't at the game.

You lost me there, if you spent five minutes on here you'd have seen that most of us were expecting a rough ride. We're actually about where most optimists would have put us - mid table or borderline playoffs - I think Ipswich were the only ones expecting to bounce back with a straight face.

I've been genuinely surprised at the lack of quality in the league this year - teams are shite, at which point it comes down to effort levels and individual moments. The simple reality is that we're shit and have lost two players in Vardy and KDH that could lead by example since last time. There's been a clear change of tactics throughout the Championship to emphasise pressing and quick transitions, yourselves being the best of the bunch. We on the other hand are owned by morons who insist on a slow, boring death-by-a-thousand-passes approach that we showed was on its way out when we won the Prem a decade ago. The result is we get outfought 9 times out of 10, and constantly lose the ball to basic pressure. The result at that point relies on whether A) the opposition have their shooting boots on and B) whether someone like Abdul or Jordan James can pull a worldie out of their arse for us.

Our squad is weaker than it was two years ago and we all know it - even previous standout players like Mavididi, Ricardo, Vestergaard and *hurkkk* Faes have regressed making those positions weaker.

So nah, it's not fun seeing your lot up there, but I'm not having that we thought we were going to piss the league. Some folks might have said it in jest, but we all know we're a mid-table team at best with the current squads, and that the looming points deduction could force us into a relegation scrap.

If I was a middling Championship football manager I'd love getting the sack every 6-12 months. Nice big payoff and then get another job within 6 months elsewhere in the football league.

It's money for old rope.

Got a few more points than expected in the last couple of months. Played most of our promotion rivals away and kept on picking up the points.

Would love promotion but not what it brings. Would be happy to spend a minimal amount and keep our best players. Go to the grounds we haven't been to for 25 years and get hammered.
