I will concede Dyche has more of a track record for hoofball than Pearson but they really aren’t too dissimilar.

Dyche has generally had less of a budget than Pearson too.

To clarify: I would prefer Rohl to Dyche, or even Mousinho. But I just want to call out some posters on here turning their noses up at Dyche when we really do need something similar to what Pearson did for us again, twice.

Some, like I’ve said are saying no to Dyche but at the same time praise and rightfully so, idolise Pearson.

Some also say no to Dyche while being adamant they would want Fischer or Rohl.

Neither Fischer or Rohl are against long balls for example. They both concede possession to other teams.

IMO we need to almost start again and building from the back, putting foundations in place and improve the mental application of our players would be a good start. I’m by no means suggesting yes Dyche can lead us back to the top 10 of PL or challenging for silverware but right now he, and his staff are very much what this club needs.

To a degree I agree with you. We can do worse than Dyche but I also think we can do better. Would certainly have Dyche over Martin but I still think the foreign option is better. I very much doubt we’ll go that way after what’s happened with Ruud.

Main difference is Dyche plays hoof ball Pearson doesn’t.
You only have to look what Moyes has got out of the same players at Everton that Dyche had.

Look at Everton’s first goal in the game against us under Moyes. Couldn’t be more hoofball if it tried.

It's been Brussell Martin since May 2023 when they first flirted with him. There's an inevitability stronger than gravity.

tbf he'd be a complete idiot to come here, if he goes Rangers, he could easily(if he does a good job) go to a prem team with like 2/3 years, ala Ange/Rodgers/Gerrard etc and his stock would be alot higher than here too from doing a good job as well

theyll be in Europe too,

I'd have to question his mindset if he came here given the complete shambles we are in, and its worse than 'Gers imo

Doesn't seem like it but he picked the style of play from Peps Man City and said, I want that one like it's picking a toy out of the argos catalogue.

He picked Enzo which was great for the first half of the season. Then teams worked us out the same is happening at Chelsea with him

I think he’s like the opposite side of a dyche though.

I don’t think spurs found it fun once the novelty wore off. You don’t just make yourself easy to score against for principles.  Like if we were doing well and found our way to the fa cup semi final and came up against a top 6 side. How raging would you be when Ange rocks up and tries to out score a man city or Liverpool… it would feel like such a waste of an attempt to achieve something.

I don’t want any more arrogant managers whose style and principles are bigger than the club. I just want a manager who try’s to achieve the best results they can with Leicester… is that too much to ask? Lose the ego and play however you need to on the day, be humble and appreciate the fans and our history. it’s really not too much to ask.

Kind of agree , but somtimes you need a bit of attitude ,  someone wont be happy! Its not about me, its all about the club.  that sounds like Steve cooper

Really like the idea of Muslic. Has had a big impact at Plymouth despite the fact they will drop. Has some steel and grit about him which we hugely lack. I doubt Top and co have even heard of him though, so I won’t hold my breath. Rosenior would’ve been a great pick, but he’s onto a good thing in France, no wonder he signed an extension!

I think there's a flaw suggesting that Russell Martin would be good to get us promoted but no good once we're back in the Prem at the first attempt.  What would we do with him at that stage?  Knowing our owners we'd have him on a 5 or 6 year contract and our PSR situaton would never allow us to sack him.

Think I would turn off for the season if its RM, he is Top's ideal type of manager so sadly think its likely, but the brand of football and the bitching at players after a bad result, urrrgh.  Of course also if it ever was promotion under him, straight back down as that brand of football is suicidal in the EPL.
