I think the only with with RW, he's had a patchy career. Didn't do well at Oldham, Did really well at Swindon, Ok at Salford, Really poor at Donny and Amazingly well at Leyton Orient.

I think people may be ok with RW, but it’s a gable like any other appointment, I can't see the club going that way.

It depends how you look at it and what spin is put. Oldham was his first job and they were on a big downwards spiral and they are now a non- league side. I would say a bit hard to read too much into that.

Salford he won the EFL trophy so I think ok is maybe slightly harsh but yes league wise they didn’t push on. But then they still haven’t.

Doncaster, yeah probably fair but again wasn’t there long and they have only just got promoted back this season so again, a club having a downwards spell which obviously he couldn’t stop at the time.

Yeah I said ok at Salford, so he dint do too bad.

I just was trying to look at it objectively.

Yep. But so many people on here even write him off and just a complete lack of mentions anyway. I think even our fans are obsessed with experience.

I think you can actually make a solid case for a number of managers in the bottom half of the Championship or top six in League 1.

Even the one’s who’ve been sacked like Cleverley and Selles, I gave my points regarding Cleverley the other week.

But would our board be brave enough to appoint someone like Wellens or a bottom half Championship manager. The only one you feel they’d actually consider is Danny Rohl because his stock is higher.

I wouldn’t say our fans are obsessed with experience, but it’s very easy to focus on names like Martin, Dyche and a few others, because it wouldn’t be surprising if our board opted for one of them.

The general feeling I get on the forum though, particularly in this thread, that quite a few would love to see a fresher up-and-coming name.

Young up and coming managers we should be going for

Miron Muslic

Tom Cleverley

Danny Rohl

Will Still

Domenico Tedesco - very unlikely.
Johnny Heitenga - another Enzo possibly?

Experienced managers we should look at.
Especially because they are not Dyche.

Urs Fischer

Quique Sanchez Flores

Brian Priske

Ralph Hassenhutl

Paulo Bento

Carlos Carvalhal

These are certainly better options than Dyche and Martin. I just hope we look at these.
Clearly you could add Wellens and Mousinho to the list.

I just think it’s very unlikely we get someone currently at another club.

Would love us to pull off a similar appointment to when Fulham got Marco Silva.

For me, that's Domenico Tedesco

Ruud van Nistelrooy stance on staying at Leicester City following private meeting with Jon Rudkin

EFL Analysis have gained an insight into Ruud van Nistelrooy’s stance on remaining as Leicester City manager.

Ruud van Nistelrooy took over as Leicester City manager in November and was unable to prevent the club from suffering relegation to the Championship.

Leicester would have to pay to sack Van Nistelrooy, and his future at the King Power Stadium has been up in the air.

The Foxes have assessed potential replacements for the Dutchman, with Russell Martin, Lee Carsley, and Sean Dyche all looked at by the Midlands side.

Now, an insight into how Van Nistelrooy feels about remaining in his role has been provided.

Ruud van Nistelrooy stance on remaining Leicester City manager
In an EFL Analysis exclusive we spoke to our resident transfer expert, Graeme Bailey, about Van Nistelrooy and his Leicester future.

Bailey told us: “Ruud van Nistelrooy did a very impressive presentation to the Leicester hierarchy and John Rudkin recently. I don’t think they’ve made up their minds yet. I think they’ve been impressed by what they’ve seen in recent weeks. I think they’ll assess it.

“I think they appreciate that they really gave him a blank gun in January really and didn’t back him. I think there’s a reasonable chance to stick with him because they like him as a person. His demeanour is good. And while there’s been a few murmurs, he hasn’t really gone to town on the owners in terms of not being backed.

“There’s a real chance he could stay but they’re assessing the situation as a lot of clubs are.”

When asked if it is more the club or Ruud that is thinking about bringing the working relationship to an end, Bailey added: “I think it’s safe to say he doesn’t want to go, because otherwise, why would he do a presentation for them?

“I think we can assume that he’d like to try and get them back. If you think about it, if Ruud leaves Leicester, what’s next? He’s taken that chance. So, I think he’d like the chance to take them back. I do. I think they might give it to him.”

Seriously hope this is nonsense.
But you can guarantee these idiots would be taken in by a presentation.
Didn’t Cooper do one?
Other than money I have no idea why Ruud would want to stay.

Cooper got the job off the back of doing a presentation about where he ranks amongst other European managers lmao

Matias Almeyda has just left AEK Athens. Was a manager i wished we'd looked at when Brendan was sacked and then when Enzo left but not sure he'd be interested in a Championship club. He did a very impressive stint at AEK though, he's a class act.

Based on my horrendous track record, one to cross off.

To be fair. Ruud had little to no of his own coaches or player signings. Handcuffed would be an understatement. Inherited poor squad. Not excusing him but is there a clear candidate better than him?

My dilemma is, we already know what we know and it's hard to look past just how much of a pigs ear he's made of it. The catastrophic damage of his persistence with the same players during thst massive losing run and not scoring run is unforgivable.

On the other hand if we were linked with him afresh this summer after he'd left PSV 2 years ago and had a stint as an assistant again plotting his next project with the emerging talents coming through then I'd be very pleased.

Whatever the outcome if he stays, he's got a major rebuilding of his reputation on his hands. It was be rare for him to turn it around as well, tends not to happen but we will see.

Pointless article. Only says Ruud would be interested in staying on, which we all know is true because he's not walking into a job even close to this in terms of stature or pay if he were to leave.

Im 100 per cent on this one. I just can't forgive that awful run with no changing week after week. It tells you all you need to know.

Listened to bslb yesterday and thought although they framed the argument nicely thought most of the others had lost it when they were saying they wouldn't mind ruud staying. Was glad to hear you bring this point up ric. Jake just ignoring the glaringly obvious it seemed to me, ruud has made too many bad calls this season to stay in the job. Simple as.

It doesn't just say that though, does it? It also clearly says that the club have been impressed by RVN and that there's a real chance he could stay, although a final decision hasn't been made yet. That doesn't mean the story is accurate, but it's not true to say it just says Ruud wants to stay - it also explicitly claims that the club is considering keeping him on.
