That would make sense if we had someone lined up that we wanted in immediately but there wouldn't be much point in failing "by a little bit more" if we could just wait 5 days when we knew we wouldn't have anyone in anyway. It's just strange. We had two options and didn't pick any of them.

Fair point but likely their messing around with it, lost the opportunity to get  whoever the target was

This is everything that is wrong with the social media age. People that know the square root of sweet fa sensationalising and perpetuating non stories which in turn gain Chinese whisper momentum and cause ridiculous headlines. No wonder the club try to maintain radio silence and news blackouts, as best they can, until there is some actual news. 🙄

We'll always get publicity hungry and attention seeking fans along with gutter press repeating baseless bs it's the way of the world sadly

 I think the radio silence is creating a massive void for these non stories to fester and grow. Just a little bit of communication could stop a lot of this.

Possibly to a degree , but let's say the club released a generic , we have compiled a shortlist and are actively seeking to appoint the right candidate for the next chapter etc etc.

So much for all the planning that Top said they were doing. How long have they had to get their house in order since they effectively decided Ruud was going? What has Rudkin been working on that justifies his wages?

It appears that no clear planning has taken place, no strategy exists, and they are just reacting to who is available or interested on a daily basis. Rudkin is responsible for setting the footballing strategy, identity and approach and what we stand for as a footballing entity, which then helps decide which personnel fit into said strategy, both managerial and players. None of that is in place as far as I can see, so what the f**k is he up to? A total and utter shambles.

There will always be people you won’t please, maybe a noisy minority, but the silence is drawing more and more people into believing their stories. Many more would be appeased with just a little communication.

Suspect such a comment, despite it saying nothing, would quieten many I think, but those who want to moan will always moan,  and no amount of comms would silence that.
