Happy Fox Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 Marti did a good job with QPR wouldn’t be averse to him, certainly far better than the likes of Garry O’Neil , Chris Wilder and Dyche. Rohl would have been our number one choice, but Marti is certainly a strong Candidate. 2
Dan Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 Actually don't mind him. Do wonder what exactly what went wrong towards the end with QPR and why he's ended up leaving but he did do well there for a while. Was a time when he and Rohl were in very similar conversations. As ever the entire process behind our managerial appointments is ****ing mental. He's been out of work what, 6/7 weeks? How was this not lined up a lot earlier? We got relegated so long ago and the one plus to this is that it gives you a time advantage over your rivals. We've chuffed it away to... play polo? They might've lucked it on him again though. Small positive shoots in what I've seen of him. 3

Martí is well regarded and did a great job after some rocky years, where League One looked a dead cert. Would be happy with this. I’ve seen Qpr quite a few times over the past couple of years. I think most of their fans were disappointed in the way he was treated. They’ve got a young dof whom he didn’t get on with.

CWLCFC Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 Excited about this, glad it’s looking likely to be him over other options we’ve been linked to.
st albans fox Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 Bit weird that he’s got to sort out a severance package when he’s already left by mutual consent. Perhaps he’s got an agreement where they keep paying him until he finds a new job and at that point he has to negotiate a settlement.

Tiny earl Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 Before yesterday I’d never heard of Wasserman or Cifuentes, now it’s like we’re old chums! 1
Popular Post indierich06 Posted 8 July 2025 Popular Post Posted 8 July 2025 Hearing this is very close, only snag is that they want him to shave his head so he'll look more like Enzo or Guardiola. Could be a deal breaker. 10
kingpowerout Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 He’s paying his own compensation clause. Bloody hell how broke are we!?

Would much prefer Rohl, but this is the best we have been linked with apart from him. Change your pictures buddy. It's happening.
st albans fox Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 Is cifuentes with wasserman ? if not then from what I’ve worked out from this forum, he won’t be our new head coach
Popular Post Number 6 Posted 8 July 2025 Popular Post Posted 8 July 2025 Cifuentes would have been my second preferred realistic choice after Rohl. I think Rohl has a higher ceiling but Cifuentes did a good job at QPR and is a much better option than Wilder/O'Neil. 6

Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 8 July 2025 Popular Post Posted 8 July 2025 Not a lot between Rohl and Cifuentes from their time in England. Took over utterly mingbeast teams in 23rd and 24th and comfortably kept them up. Last season, QPR at one point were on a seriously impressive run but something happened at the club which might not just be him wanting to go to West Brom and him being stuck on gardening leave. He reminds me a bit in his past of Marco Silva. High energy football, emphasis on wingers and pressing. Plenty to like about that. Will now see what his record is with young players. 9
