Claudio Fannieri Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 Interesting development and too be honest a far more exciting prospective appointment than the likes of Dyche, Wilder and O’Neill. If he does join then I will be genuinely excited as to the new season and hopefully his backroom staff will include Kingy.

By "default" this team wants to get hold of the ball and pass it around. Whether he plays 4231 / 433 / 3241 with inverted players I think he will be looking to move the ball fast on the ground with heavy rotations and triangles. Players that should do well under this sort of manager: Winks, Fatawu, Mavididi, Monga, Ricardo. Players who won't do so well: Daka, Ayew. 3

I think thats over exaggeration, however we're apparently going for pep type, I can see your point.

Marti like Enzo likes an inverted fullback to overload the middle and also like his wingers to stay wide to stretch the pitch with emphasis on the attacking midfielders to run in behind. However, possession of the ball was Enzo No.1 priority, his wingers didn’t make runs in behind to keep shape. Marti likes his wingers to run behind the full back looking for the through ball. If he is able to get in the same position 30 passes would create in one simple ball in behind then he’s happy. Movement behind the defenders and overloads are the key principles to his style. His tempo is a lot quicker than Enzo’s. 2 1
Sankey93 Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 @moore_94 can you please show us what signings he made while at QPR? Apologies unsure how to do it 😂
