Let's prise Neil Lennon away from Dumferline.  Him and Kingy.   Better managerial statistics than both Wilder and O'Neill.

I was speaking last night to a fan of another club who said he reads this forum from time to time and thought that our fans decided they were down the moment Cooper was appointed and did everything they could to make sure that's what happened by turning on him instantly and creating a toxic atmosphere.

My argument was that while people could see it wasn't the right appointment, very few fans would say it was the single crucial factor in us going down, that the 'toxic' atmosphere was already building up because of the club's mismanagement and that, fans being fans, they did give him a chance, albeit not for long.

And then I read this post. And I just know that he's read this post too, and I bet I'm going to hear about it by the end of the day.

Sounds like that fan was spot on. The amount of so called fans who never gave him a chance was ridiculous, sacking him for RUUD when we did was crazy. To not be in the bottom 3 with that squad when he left was some achievement.

Agree. But so are Wilder and O’Neill. Rudkin needs to get onto Transfermarkt and look at the list of managers currently out of work. Some better prospects on there than what he appears to have come up with.

If they strike gold with a good managerial appointment, it will alleviate the heat on Top and Rudkin and they will feel justified in their decisions and mean that the senior leadership remains unchanged.

Eh, if they pull their fingers out and start making good decisions then fine. I'd rather these guys start performing than not.

Then they can show that they've learned from their mistakes, get the City back on track, I can win the lottery and get a tuggie off Scarlett Johansson

Sorry how can you ask that?

Failed at both clubs

lost dressing rooms

Never achieve anything at all in management

both clubs basically had miracle turn around when he left.
His teams conceded for fun

Didnt score many

been unemployed for some time

overlooked by everyone else

lack of tactical identity

i mean the list goes on

I don’t think he’s a fantastic manager by any stretch of the imagination, but a lot of this is a load of nonsense.

He didn’t fail at both clubs. For two of the two and a half seasons he was in management he achieved exactly what he was tasked to do. He kept his teams up.

The miracle turn around is especially bollocks at Bournemouth. They finished 15th in his last season and then 12th Iraola’s first season.

Yes Wolves turned it around but go back here in December, January time when he was sacked and many of us were saying with the fixtures the way they were there was no way they’d be in the relegation fight at the end of the season. Again, they finished one place lower than with O’Neil last season.

If it's him I'll give him a chance.

Would love some unheard of manager from the other side of the globe to turn up unexpectedly, just got something interesting to happen as much as anything else, but Rudkin doesn't have that kind of imagination.

You are forgetting the board's number one priority "must have worked in England".

Not to go over old ground or anything but the only reason we wern't in the bottom 3 was because Palace, Wolves and Everton barely had a win between them. The bulk of Cooper's pts were against fellow fodder like Ipswich and Saints and even they were scraped. Sacking him was right, appointing RVN was wrong

I'm not wanting the owner to sack himself. I'm wanting him to sell the club to someone competent and interested :)

But he could at least give himself a written warning about his competency and ability to do his job in a manner befitting the position

1 thing that is factually correct about GON is that since he left Bournemouth and Wolves they have both improved dramatically.

Not a good manager but then again he is probably the best out of a bad bunch Bar Dyche and Rohl.

I'd put him below virtually every other name we've been linked with. I can't stand Wilder but I'd take him over O'Neil without a second's hesitation.

FT is like a dangerous addictive drug atm. I keep checking in (taking it) anticipating and hoping it will give me a feeling of euphoria and joy, but all I get is the sense of unrelenting misery 😹

Then let's go get Phil Scolari, bring back a load of old Brazilians from retirement and play some Samba football. Just bored of being bored at this point.

With every signing or appointment it always seems like we have to say:

 “it could be worst”

”best of bad bunch”

“Do a job”

why can’t we, for once, just have a good bunch. 😂
