I think to be fair they have always wanted Rohl. Sometimes things are complicated, but feels like the complexity could have been sorted weeks ago.

think they were hoping he could leave for free.

This is about as uninspired I think as i've ever been coming up to the start of a new season. I'm a season ticket holder for both the men's and women's team, neither of which have any idea what the fu*k is going on with roughly 1 month before the season kicks off. We've not even been able to sort the current squad out let alone get anyone in with a men's team that's manager less.

Respectfully, if this is the state you've got us in - perhaps it's time to sell.

It’s fine. You can get excited again when Rohl comes in.

Don't do this to us Stan, don't give us this blind hope

I'm not intending to! I believe he will be our new boss and I don't believe the compo thing is as complex as is being made out.

After the failure of recent appointments, 16 of them were those monks we used to bless the King Power.

We're a ****ing circus

But we might not be. Could be playing a game of poker behind the scenes, or not. I'd like to think (hope) they are giving the Rohl complications every chance of unravelling.

The easy options are falling by the wayside :fc:

Re-open the Rohl thread imo, or close all the others because the Rohl thread was closed after less concrete evidence of him not coming.

Haha it’s closed then? I’ve decided to spend less time on here the last day or so

Respectfully mate we're a few weeks away from the start of the season and we're non the wiser to who's gonna be in charge after knowing for months that we're not keeping Ruud. Fail to prepare and prepare to fail comes to mind

Leicester City manager hunt 'reeks' as scathing 'scraping the barrel' swipe taken
The Foxes are expected to appoint a successor to Ruud van Nistelrooy this week

Leicester City have been accused of “scraping the barrel” as they close in on a new manager.

The Foxes are expected to appoint a successor to Ruud van Nistelrooy this week.

Gary O'Neil and Chris Wilder are said to be on the King Power shortlist, while former Everton boss Sean Dyche and Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Röhl have also been linked.

But former City winger Matt Piper says it “reeks” of bad management of the club at the very top.

"Flip-flopping around from different managers, different journeymen, just reeks of what we've all been pointing fingers at the club for," Piper said on the BBC’s When You're Smiling podcast.

"It all seems a little bit unprofessional, not well planned out and scraping the barrel.

"No candidates really on that list that you're really excited about, or I'm certainly not anyway.”

It has been more than a week since van Nistelrooy parted company with the club.

Pre-season has already started at Seagrave as City prepare for life back in the Championship, following relegation from the Premier League. They beat Peterborough United 3-1 in their opening pre-season friendly on Saturday.

They will kick-off the new league campaign against Sheffield Wednesday at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, August 10.

Andy King is leading pre-season training as the club decides who to appoint as the new manager.

Ian Stringer has just had a thrombo

Thing is, would you rather the club panic and dive in by appointing an easy option as the new season is fast approaching or wait until it becomes impossible to get Rohl (number 1 choice, I suspect) ? They must believe there's a chance of resolving these so-called complications else an out of work manager would already be in post.

I'd rather wait. They might prove they are competent after all.
