What frustrates me is in the article the implication is that we are now rushing to get someone in this week after waiting the best part of three months since relegation doing nothing

Such as with Cooper… a large proportion of this forum still wanted him out in pre season 😅 before we had played a competitive game, and before we had any fit central midfielders available

With the benefit of hindsight, were they proved to be right or wrong??

We can afford them it's just either we won't pay the compensation (we allays have the money to sack them) or we can;t convince them to join.

Step 0. Do nothing in terms of preparation in the weeks/months prior to sacking the previous manager, despite the trajectory being clear

He was never a well thought through appointment... and was never going to be accepted by a vast majority of fans ... history and previous counts for a lot with time served fans ... not to mention his style, lack of charisma and was never going to connect with the fans ... the longer our current search goes on the less of a club we look ... far to many poor decisions have left us where we are now ... a fu#king shambles

6. Begrudgingly get behind manager and support

7. Hate comments in match threads and the managers own thread on FT after first match

8. Poll asking posters if manager should be sacked

Someone else add more, I am lazy to continue lol

I had admittedly been distancing myself from football matters since the end of last season, but then my friend messaged last night asking what I thought about Wilder. So dipped back into the forum to see the shit show of names being touted now.

My only hope is that an out of work manager maybe would have been sorted by now. Hopefully they are backups or pawns being used in our attempt to get Rohl over the line.

6. Sack 4th choice and hire another complete novice who beat Leicester in the previous 2 games as a caretaker 🤔

You don't seriously think we are that clever, surely ?

We will stumble around for another week, nobody will make decision until it finally dawns on them that RVN has actually left the club. The Circus continues.

Perhaps Top is thinking outside the box, the club doesn’t need a manager just needs to use ChatGPT

Or just use a controller..

Let the fans decided at 15 minute intervals during the game! We all get to cast a vote for tactical decisions

I think you'll find a large proportion of this forum didn't want him in the first place and were confused why we didn't just pay some compensation for Corberan.

If PSR was that much of an issue it doesn't explain the 25M spent on Skipp...

It's probably the same people on this forum wondering why we don't just pay for Rohl.

But it seems our board hasn't learned any lessons over the last 12 months and we'll just go for the cheap option and underperform once again.⅕

I'm not even close to panicking tbf (I'm ****ing bored, but not worried)

If we go into the first few games of the season with Kingy and Matt Reeves in charge of a line up of: (i.e. no incomings and only the obvious out goings happening)

Stolarczyk

Ricardo.

Nelson

Okoli.

Thomas

Winks.

Ndidi.

Fatawu.

El Khannouss.

Maviddi

Daka

Subs: (any sub keeper), Vestergaard, Justin, Coulibaly, Choudhury, McAteer, Monga, Evans, Ayew

I'd still expect us to win most games comfortably, and start fast to chop away any points deduction deficit
