You can argue that was down to having Carrick and Mckenna as coaches but considering how far man united have fallen since he was sacked i would think he's got more to him than being a 'jobs for the boys' pick. You made some good points he stated well , but with a billion-dollar club with very high aspirations would he have got that job if not a club legend ? He also had experience at Cardiff and was absolute dog doo. My point is it just feels an emotional appointment, what else are we basing the idea on?
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 I've got an idea..... but appreciate its crazy. Why don't we ALL get behind the manager whoever it is? Or shall we boo our own like we do some of our own players? 2 1

Stopharage Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 Is there any chance we could do a fund-raising drive for the £600,000 needed to get Rohl? 2

Popular Post Kitchandro Posted 8 July 2025 Popular Post Posted 8 July 2025 (edited) Why are people trying to justify this? ‘I would take him over so and so…compared to so and s he’s a solid appointment…he’s not that bad’ We don’t owe the club permission to appoint someone because you can think of a worse manager in the world. This is a professional football club with a scouting network, we’ve been relegated for months and our shortlist is a parody. I don’t accept any of O’Neil, Wilder, Dyche, just as I didn’t accept RVN, Cooper or Martin. None of them deserve or will deserve the benefit of the doubt. This is my football club, we don’t exist to give some millionaire ‘a chance’. This isn’t a Saturday night game show. I want a serious manager with a future and there’s absolutely zero excuses for not having someone like that in place by now. If Rohl isn’t possible for some pathetic reason, I expect at least 3 managers on the shortlist far, far better than the ones named. Edited 8 July 2025 by Kitchandro 16

The lack of planning and situation we find ourselves in is down to a complete dereliction of duty by Top and Rudkin & Co Gary O'Neil would be a terrible and 'lazy' appointment Whoever ends up as manager, should initially be given a chance by the fanbase, as any pre-emptive negativity would only be self-defeating 15

We can moan all we want on a Football Forum. I still support new Managers, as I am sure a majority do. I think O'Neil is the most Cooper appointment, since Cooper! But, I will still want him to do well for us. 1

Popular Post Walkerfox Posted 8 July 2025 Popular Post Posted 8 July 2025 Why should we get behind O’Neill or Wilder if they come in? What have they done to warrant our support? Neither of them should be anywhere near a club of our size, they just aren’t at our level. They’re the type of managers who the likes of Norwich and Stoke should be after. A lot of us aren’t stupid, we can see what’s going to happen a mile off if we appoint one of them. I knew as soon as Cooper was appointed we were getting relegated, so I didn’t support him once. I wanted him gone from day one because there was no hope of him doing well. If it’s Wilder or O’Neill I’ll think exactly the same. They aren’t good enough to manage us. 3 2
MrLuke Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 Obviously feeling pessimistic at the moment, like a lot of others on here. I can't see a positive short-term outcome here. The wrong managerial appointment and everyone has their pitchforks out, demanding change from the very top (literally), and the atmosphere both on and off the pitch remains toxic. If they strike gold with a good managerial appointment, it will alleviate the heat on Top and Rudkin and they will feel justified in their decisions and mean that the senior leadership remains unchanged. Obviously I would prefer the latter as I've forgotten what it's like to enjoy watching football. It's never dull at Leicester but sometimes I wish it was.
indierich06 Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 If it's Wilder of GoN then it won't be a case of getting behind them or not - I will just lose interest. There's nothing to get excited about. I'll keep an eye out for results but that's about it. 4
Ed 1 Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 Cooper, RVN, O’Neill: bad appointment followed by bad appointment followed by bad appointment If I made this many mistakes at work I’d be sacked. Where’s the culpability? 2
Brainy Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 Boo Rudkin, boo the board. But where does booing the manager from day one honestly get you?

Such as with Cooper… a large proportion of this forum still wanted him out in pre season 😅 before we had played a competitive game, and before we had any fit central midfielders available 1

Where’s the culpability? There isn't any. That much is clear as day. 3 failed managers, 2 relegations, 2 PSR breaches and a decreasing squad quality alongside a wage bill that isn't a fair representation of our ability. All in the last 3 years and not one thing has changed within the structure of those who allowed this to happen. That's why it really doesn't matter who our manager is if those above him are allowed to continue their show of incompetence with impunity. 3
RowlattsFox Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 There's a chance Wilder gets us promoted, wouldn't be happy with him but he does have it in his locker. O'Neill is a manager that blames everyone else, can't stand managers like that. But he is a classic less inspiring choice because he's English, what's Rohl achieved that O'Neill, Cooper, Wilder etc haven't? However I say that whilst still preferring the more 'adventurous' choice in Rohl. 1

And let’s not forget he openly criticised the Wolves board, and he would be coming here? I’ve seen more support from a scaffolding made of straws and hub a bubba. It would end in tears. And why should we allow Top and his mate to get away with it any longer?

indierich06 Posted 8 July 2025 Posted 8 July 2025 Honestly people, vote with your feet. Club will still be here long after these shysters have departed. Don't do it to yourselves, it's just boring and depressing.
