Can genuinely see a Sheffield United going for Ayew…… just sell him for 50p to anyone….

Doubt it, they are going for younger signings and using their academy. Novel idea right.

To be honest, I don’t see any of the likely promoted sides being that stupid. I reckon we are stuck with Ayew and Reid which is infuriating as we have so much talent within the club in those areas which will get stifled by accommodating these two even in the

Championship…

Ayew left Palace because they told him they couldn't guarantee him first team football. He apparently is one of those players who wants to play every week and gets very frustrated when he isn't picked. I'm not sure he'll fancy being a squad player in the Championship.

Wanting to play every week, 20k max elsewhere, here, even with a relegation reduction clause he's probably on close to double.

I think BEK sticks around similar to Gnonto/Summerville at Leeds. Think Coady is gone, Vestegaard if there is a bid will go, Ndidi will leave, certain his new contract had a relegation release clause that is reasonably low, think Mads may go if Chelsea/Man City choose to go for him as he would suit their styles. Soumare potentially but won’t be loaned out because of his contract, think the rest will be tougher to shift, at least we don’t have the extreme wages across the squad like we did last time we came down

Don't quite get the fuss about BEK. He's been mediocre at best. But I can definitely envisage a lower/mid table PL club coming in with a lowball offer and him trying to force through the move like he did when coming here from Genk.

Probably the fact that him and Facundo have been the only chinks of light in what is a very geriatric and underwhelming attack .Got to fancy he'd look even better if he had team mates that could actually move. Would expect him to have a very dominant year in the 2nd tier and then hopefully step up again the following year.

In terms of output looking at numbers I think it's fair to underwhelmed for sure, but there's clearly a player in him. He's got that rare quality of having technical ability and a desire to put himself about as well.

Bilal will get interest from Europe I think, but it will either be low-ball or loan offers, where we have no real benefit. Other than maybe him having a great season somewhere and we sell for a profit next summer.

As long as doesn't fuss, keep him. My only potential excitement for next season is seeing him and Fatawu linking up, backed up by Alves and Monga.

Why are people so confident that Skipp will boss the championship? He's not the same player he was at Norwich, he had a major injury since then at Spurs that he never recovered from.

If you compare his performances for us in the PL to Dewsbury Hall, Dewsbury Hall was a far better player for us (albeit not outstanding) which translated into him being one of the best in the championship. Skipp on the other hand I can see struggling to make an impact, he's currently a worse player than Choudhury who is doing well in the championship but not among the best.

I rather play someone from the academy.

'boss it' is generous but we can't sign everyone, and we going to have to utilise some of what we've got and he should be able to contribute enough. Hopefully alongside some decent players.

I think people are going to be disappointed with the lack of turnover in the summer. Our track record for shifting players we don't want is woeful.

I can't see more than 1 or 2 with contracts into next year actually being sold. Maybe a couple loans but we've even struggled with that as well.

Would rather give Cartwright or Baybrooke a starting role next season, or choudhury if he's still around, or whoever's in our u18 side.

Similar to Danny Ward there's no point using him if he's not at the level required, when he leaves us he will be off to a lower championship/league one side.

Why on earth would you keep BDR, Ayew and Skipp? Get rid immediately.

I’m not sure he has chosen to keep them it’s more we are stuck with them.

Squad needs to be used, no reason to splash money on needless signings. Enzo got rid of Souttar, did he really need to? Coady was a pointless signing as it turned out, should have just kept Souttar.

Posted

Souttar is the best defender we have int terms of actually defending. But because we have this stupid belief we must be Man City we have persisted with absolute goons like Faes, who cant defend but can pass it sideways and point.

I think we will be stuck with alot of them, lets not forget Wilf was on a free last summer, he only came back here as noone else would come close to our wage package, id expect him to remain.

In an ideal world, Faes, Coady, BDCR, Kristiansen, Ayew, Daka, Soumare and Vestergaard would all be on the chopping board.

Question marks hang over the likes of Okoli, Souttar and maybe a couple of others.

One of Hermansen, Fatawu, BEK will definitely go. We may see similar to what happened to Leeds last season, with a few being shipped out on loan, then coming back into the fold. Can see BEK and Okoli both potentially going this way.

Ndidi will probably be our other major sale.

Then you’ll just be left sweating in hope that some kind gullible teams, will take the players I mentioned at the top off our hands. Unfortunately though I can see Coady, Vestergaard, BDCR and Ayew all sticking around 🤢 If we go with a back three next season though, the thought of Coady and Vestergaard sticking around doesn’t worry me as much, rotating them as the middle man in a back three in the Championship, I’d be content with that. BDCR and Ayew on the other hand though, one must fvck off somehow, I can’t bear the thought of both of them sticking around.

Trying to be positive

Stolarcyk

Ricardo

Souttar

Nelson / okoli

Thomas

Winks

Choudhury

Musa / monga

Bilal

Alves / mavidid

Striker / Evans / vardy

Doesn't look that bad. And I'd like to think the stinky old boys club could all do a job pretty well in the championship.

But agree, the recruitment has been championship level

Him and Facu dragged down. A lack of quality to share the load with means they’ve attempted to do everything themselves on the pitch. Throw in the managers deciding to avoid playing Mavididi who you at least get one good game in 3 or 4 out of

Yeah Bilal and Fatawu in the Championship would be pretty brutal at that level if they can link up.

People massively forget that Mavididi is easily one of the best wingers in the championship too. Those 3 behind a decent centre forward would cause havoc.

They are clearly not bad players and will get better, but I think it's more likely that Buonanotte and BEK have been made to look better than they actually are because we can only really compare them to the absolute crap around them. Let's call it The Mark Draper Effect (which would be a great name for a band).

Shouldn't we be looking at getting rid of Riccy P? Love him to bits, but surely he can take semi retirement in the States or Saudi. He' been injured for most of our 2 relegation campaigns.
