I wouldn't mind seeing him go to Wednesday, both sets of fans singing his name would be incredible. Reminds me of when we played Doncaster 13/14 and we all sung "There's only one Dickov" who he was managing at the time.

I know he's not been particularly good this season (no-one has) but I think we should all vote for him to win Player of the Season as a kind of thank you.

 

And besides, it seems just plain wrong that Robbie Savage has won the award twice and Vardy only once.

however the timing of this doesn’t sit right. Came out 2 days ago saying sorry for S*show of a season. Today saying he is leaving. He knew he was leaving for months and played like it too. He should have been our leader but we can see on the pitch he has not been. When the best player wants to leave sends a message to others. Winks can’t even be bothered to attend a game to support his teammates. Faes, soumare, VK already said want to leave. Shambles from every player in the squad. 

Okoli should play every game until end of season.  Gain experience for next year. Not players who are not committed to the club. Clearly not learnt from lessons 2 years ago.

The only objective for the rest of this season has to be get him to 200 goals. Hell, imagine if he managed to surpass Owen's record as the true end to his shit housing career with us? 

 

I honestly don't think I'd care if we concede 6 in every game remaining if it meant he scored enough to beat that record.

 

(Also how funny that he mentioned everyone but Rudders!!)

Where have you read this?  - I mean thank god they want to leave and hopefully we can give them whatever they want to get them out of the door, but haven't read this anywhere?

Circumstances will have dictated the announcement. I love Vardy. He's our greatest ever player. We will never have anyone like him again. But, we are no longer a Premier League team. We cannot pay Premier League wages (or at least shouldn't be). We have to move on from Vardy too and look to the future. For all we know, the club has confirm to him that we aren't going to renew, now we aren't in the Premier League.

How many does he need? Wiki has contradictions. Leicester all time goal scorers says 180 for league, but Jamie Vardy individual says 181.

500 appearances would also be good. Five needed for 500?

A real shame this season has damaged his goals per game stats.

Not even to bid farewell to the GOAT? You need to change your display name. I wouldn’t miss it for anything. It’s been a pleasure and at times hilarious, watching a player who engages with the fans so much. He’s a throwback to the days of tough battles against an opponent, where both are giving everything and enjoy that close combat style of play. There are so many petulant whinges these days it’s refreshing to have that aggression. Good luck Jamie and thanks so much for the memories.
