We have Jake Evans who is matching those numbers at 16 years old yet no one is considering him replacing Vardy, the kid is paranormal. He would be my pick.

I like the guys effort BUT the quality or football nous just isn't there, he is a comedy footballer and will kill people in the stands with his shooting.

BUT he did actually score 7 goals in 20 Championship appearances last time out, IF by the end of the window he knows he's got half a season as first choice at least, that goal rate across the season would be close to 20.

AND he did score 54 goals in 82 Austrian Bundesliga games.

But yes generally he is pants.

As for Piroe himself, a lot of us here - myself included - did a lot of mental gymnastics to convince ourselves we'd dodged a bullet not signing him and that Cannon would be a better signing. We were wrong.

 

I'm still hoping we have a go at getting Kone from Wycombe, but more than anything I want Evans to be given a go. If he doesn't cut it then fair enough, next season is far more about rebuilding the spine from the ashes than an instant return to this shitshow for me.

 

I'm cool with Ayew having a part to play, but if he ends up being the main man we'll have learned absolutely nothing and deserve everything we get.

 

Daka, no, take whatever we can get for him. He was painfully average in the Championship last time out, he is not the answer.
