Kingy has already ruled this out saying he’s not ready for the job and getting the lads ready for the next manager. Mentioned this to a few fans after the P’boro game.

Phew, I am wrong then

We do want Rohl, but it’s too complicated a situation to be resolved as quickly as we need it to be, and it’s clear we want to get him on the cheap. So, as it was with Cooper I imagine they will offer it to Dyche.

We are shit scared of PSR, yet have been so neglectful with our wage structure? Doesn’t make any sense at all…… won’t dare to spend money to get a highly rated manager in, who could possibly get even this group going……. Yet we will pay average players £70k a week?

It’s ****ing lunacy.

Makes no sense because Dyche and his staff would cost us millions more per year/sacking pay off in wages

Rumoured to be on around £80k a week at Everton.

This is what really winds me up.

If we get Rohl we then likely recruit Powell, Lense and maybe Pedersen (could’ve had Bibbo, too).

All these for even 2-2.5m is still a cracking deal and yet we seem to be faffing despite getting TWO six figure sums for bazza Murphy and the Dutch gk coach. (And finishing 18th as opposed to 19th in the PL)

Yup, most likely got around £1m for the pair of them, if you then include the fee we will likely recieve for Coady (we already have 6 centre backs in the first team) then that pays for Rohl and all his coaching staff.

Very simple.

Exactly.

Rohl would be 15/25K p/w

And yet, it would be so us wouldn’t it to take Dyche as an option.

How much are we actually paying these inept players??

Soumare, Vesty, Daka, Faes, James, Skipp, Coady?

Also, Winks, N’Didi, Kristiansen, and I’m sure they’re more. The club are committed to millions every year.
We definitely need a change of ownership.

It’s always possible that there are other obligations tied to a release clause that need to be resolved. It’s probably not quite as straightforward as some would like to believe. Especially with Wednesdays owner.

I think this Röhl rumour is dead in the water. It was a fun rumour while it lasted.

Kingy with 1 coach it is then. #skint

Its only a cracking deal if they are not free next Monday.  If they are free next Monday, it is insane.

I know you said that tongue in cheek but it’s so true isn’t it?

Our whole wage structure needs to go to an incentive based one.

I also struggle to buy into the “agents know what other players are paid” lazy line, Dunk at Brighton is their highest earner due to what he’s done for the club.

They don’t then have players only signing if get paid similar wages to Dunk.

I suspect we are subject of a takeover bid, or the owners are looking to sell.

If this is the case, I really don’t mind us just sticking with what we have until it’s sorted.

I’d rather that than a new owner come in and need to piss away more money sacking staff to get “his man”.

Same goes for players really. No point buying players until we know who our owner will be, know who the manager will be, and know what we need to fit our “vision”.

Think you might be right with the takeover or at least looking to sell.

We need a couple of incomings before the end of the window for certain. If that's just loans so be it. Must get a capable striker to lead the line and depending on outgoings we need a lynching central midfielder.

If we're waiting for a new manager for this but a new manager is waiting for the takeover etc then somethings got to give.

I agree mate, but on the flip side of that, if we look at what panic buying has done for us in recent years, I’d rather not do that.

Even though we need a few players, ideally they would be players that fit what we need.

Now that can be achieved without a manager, but I also suspect we need to sell before we can buy. Just looking at the bodies, our squad is full. Especially if you count the young ones that we all want to be part of the main group. We literally need a fire sale, and to then bring in just a couple.

We currently have Ayew, Daka and Evans as strikers. I can’t see us signing another until one of those has gone. And even then, I think it will be one striker not two. Which tbh, I wouldn’t be against because it would hopefully see Evans get minutes.

stacked for wingers, stacked for defenders.

Like you said, a midfielder would be a nice addition and something we need. Though I think a lot of it depends on outgoings.

Yeah, we need a minimum of 6-7 out, if not more

It would answer a lot of questions, particularly the lack of any activity at all. New owners would prefer to have input into these decisions I’m sure.

I find it odd there hasn't been any outgoings or interest in players. I would have thought Mads, Ndidi and/or Bilal would have been subject to interest at some point. They wouldn't have to wait for a new manager as they can say we need to sell due to PSR, tough.

I just don't get what is happening this summer. It all seems disjointed and Top doesn't care anymore. Like a bored child with a toy he doesn't want to play with anymore.

Oh right so are we going to sort recruitment / scouting out tonight then? That’s something you need to build with time not a few weeks before the season starts.

It should have been sorted years ago ffs!!!!!

Selling to Chansiri no doubt
