There's a reason they've not spoken to him, and it's not because they've forgotten (however likely that may actually seem with this bunch!). It's clear they are waiting for something - either for him to walk, or for a certain date that helps with finances/PSR. I sure hope so
MPH Posted 31 May 2025 Posted 31 May 2025 Leave your manager in the dark for long enough and you won’t have to pay him compensation when he walks… 1

Perhaps in the future we realise we shouldn't try going for the cheaper option when it comes to the manager, since paying all this compensation when they don't last can't possibly be cheaper in the long run. Imagine if we'd just spent 3 million for Corberan back when he looked an option... (and saved 25 million on the Skipp signing) 9

It could be that he totally gets the hint but doesnt want to lose out on potentially millions

I can't be the only person who makes massive to do lists for myself and always have one or two things I never find the time to get around to. Maybe that's Tops problem. 1. Buy gift for upcoming Thai prince's birthday. 2. Visit Vihara 3. Approve new fragrance brand 4. Review new King Power stadium expansion minutes (latest ones) 5. Negotiate with luxury brands over how many square inches of gold plated shelf they get 6. Audit liquor stock 7. Fire Ruud. 8. Fire Jon. 9. Cancel milk. He's no doubt a busy man and sometimes those things at the bottom of the list never get done. 1 9
Merchant_Banker Posted 1 June 2025 Posted 1 June 2025 I wonder if they are waiting until they are no longer a Premier League club (6th June?) or until the start of next years accounts (1st July), but can't tell RvN that as it would count as constructive dismissal and be effective immendiately.

foxfanazer Posted 1 June 2025 Posted 1 June 2025 Only Leicester could go into a new season with a manager we don't want and who also doesn't want to be here 1 1

I’m fairly certain he was mentally sacked before we were even relegated. They are waiting until his wage legally drops on relegation so that the pay off is reduced to that level. I’m certain of it and in fairness, of course they should do that and they wouldn’t be in a place to publicly comment on it. If they sacked him a day earlier he’d take us to court asking for his current wage over the remainder of his contract Edited 1 June 2025 by Lambert09 4
grth2004 Posted 3 June 2025 Posted 3 June 2025 Reading lots of articles linking him to us now and it seems to have traction in the press at least. I would definitely get behind this appointment if it happened. Slight gamble but proved he has something last season.
Claudio Fannieri Posted 4 June 2025 Posted 4 June 2025 The links to Rohl are definitely increasing so let’s hope once our championship place is confirmed on Friday we then start getting busy. I reckon once we officially become a championship club we will see a lot of activity as clauses will become effective from this point.

fox_favourite Posted 4 June 2025 Posted 4 June 2025 Where are these articles? What sources are quoting it? Is it just another Russell Martin situation that an agent is pushing his name in the media for jobs to kinda advertise his client/push a club to make a decision. We seem to used that way a lot.

Leicester city under Rohl is a very different prospect to Leicester city under Martin. He would just look at Enzo, and think if he gets us up, it’s a ticket to a big job eventually. We want longevity yes, but if Rohl could take us up and keep us up, it will do wonders for his career. Absolutely. He's obviously keen on going back to Germany at some stage and would probably look at Vincent Kompany as an example of where you could go if you get a team up, even if you can't keep them up.

Less than a decade ago we won the top flight and FA Cup, we are still a great proposition regardless of manager.
