Leicester loans manager David Fox is set to leave the club after just two weeks to join Plymouth Argyle.

Sources have told BBC Sport the 41-year-old will become Argyle's new head of football operations as the club plots their return to the Championship.

Fox finished his career with a three-year spell at Home Park, making 142 appearances, and returns after the club was relegated to League One on the final day of the season.

Fox, who also played for Norwich, Blackpool, Colchester and Crewe, had previously been loans manager at Huddersfield and has only been at King Power Stadium a matter of weeks.

A new head of recruitment is also expected to be named by Plymouth to replace Jimmy Dickinson, who is joining Bolton to reunited with former Argyle boss Steven Schumacher.

I wonder if Plymouth Argyle might be interested in a new DOF 🤔

We have a complete merry go round behind the scenes. We have vacancies longer than people were in their post lol

Reckon he’d be a great Loans Manager too, seems to know a fair bit about Temporary Employment

As metaphors go, that's pretty much on the money.

Yes. Surprised not to see the obvious headline of: “FOX NO LONGER A FOX”

Can you blame Foxy leaving? Someone stole his favourite toilet at Seagrave ffs. This club is broken. 😡

In other years this is not really newsworthy, but highlighting a new recruit has left after 2 weeks speaks to how we’re run these days. Perhaps that was the motivation behind the toilet stealer breaking this story.

Didn’t Guy Branston used to do this role? Perhaps it’s a trend that the person who has this role gets themselves in a bit of pickle.

Feel like a lot of lower level club staff can't put up with the cult behaviour there. The more shit you can swallow the higher you go there.

Realistically I would say this role is pretty junior within the LCFC heirarchy where as the role he is taking at Plymouth ( a former club of his as well) is a lot more senior, not sure there is much to read into except timing is pretty off but clearly opportunity to good to turn down.

also given the appointments of a head of football operation and head of recruitment probably means Muslic stays at Plymouth as he has worked very closely at Cercle with the incoming recruitment lead.
