Have we had any youth players that have broken through to a regular first team player over the last twenty years?

Seems all those that got anywhere near aren’t quite good enough - Hamza, Thomas, Macateer etc

Calvin Bassey too. Not with us but building a solid Premier League career with Fulham.

Had a very solid career at Championship and Premier League level. Not exactly an absolute flop like some on here.

Went to school with the guy and I didn't even think he was the best footballer in the class. Mad how these things pan out. Also the fact he's retired now makes me feel old.

Funny how that happens I went school with Jason Knight who became an apprentice at West Ham and later played a few games for Doncaster Rovers and Adie Crane who joined Leicester played in the reserves and got on a couple of team photos neither were that good Phil Marsden who never got further then Friar Lane was a far better player

Harry Panayiotou

He was never touted as a wonderkid. He stood out because he became a full St Kitts and Nevis international.

Jeffrey Bruma anyone? To be fair, he had a decent career.

Had a similar experience with Liam Moore, surprised but also glad he made it professional as we used to play down the park together. He wasn't a million miles ahead of our lads but obviously worked on his game as he grew older. I think Liam has also retired, had a lot of injuries at Reading.

Wouldn’t it be great if all international kits were fitted actually with capes?

Tbf fashionista Chilly wears some rascal outfits, I wouldn’t be surprised if he owned a feminine cape or two now he’s a London boy,
