All the things we need to move away from, of I'm honest. If we were hung on Enzo ball, we wouldn’t have appointed tweedle dum (Cooper) and tweedle dee (RVN). 1

winteriscoming Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 My only hope is that we’ve been linked with Dyche, Carsley and now Martin in recent weeks and that it’s nonsense. Hopefully next week it’ll be someone else who I’d rather want. I think the club are trying to get a gauge on fan reaction because they haven’t got a clue who to get in.

They should look local and get someone from the British Asian community, it would be good optics. I nominate the Belgrave FC youth coach, Saktha Bhorde. 3
john ridley Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 Think the only way for real change would be another relegation and for Top to sell up on the cheap. His family arnt going to put up with this forever ,spunking money away .

OntarioFox Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 Mental gymnastics going on in my friends and family WhatsApp chat, trying to convince themselves it would be a better appointment than it seems on paper. No, no, no. No! I hope everyone at Bournemouth makes it abundantly clear that we don't want Brussel within 30 miles of our club (or whatever the total distance is to Coventry). uggggghhhh 1

niyaminski Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 They're going to turn back. They always do this. Push some feelers (rumors) out, see how negative the fanbase are, then go from there. Happened last time we got relegated.

I love LCFC as much as the next man, but I am so glad I didn't renew my ST for this season so i can do my bit to try and initiate change tbf you can look at that another way, you are supporting the people who work in the ticket office etc? how much the stupid idiots are losing per year we aint lining their pockets either. I renewed, i always will, unless im dead in the ground, even then id want my STH renewed 1

Popular Post Saint Le God Posted 21 May 2025 Popular Post Posted 21 May 2025 Saints Fan here. Good luck with Lego Head. You guys can do so much better than this. Just check what Swanseas lot say about him, as well as us. Your players will eat him alive, we unfortunately under him were a bunch of youngsters and miss fits. See you in the Championship. 5

Was never meant to be his. Was meant to be Potter’s job. But he was stalling for a good week if I remember correctly. Edited 21 May 2025 by niyaminski
Saint1983 Posted 21 May 2025 Posted 21 May 2025 Saints fan here. its a difficult one to get excited about, aye? I think there’s quite a few caveats, variables and nuances that need to be considered when appointing Russell Martin. For me, he’s probably a one or two shifts away from being a very good manager. If you put the tactical inflexibility aside, there were times where he showed his nous by changing the formation for some of our games to suit the opposition (vs Leeds twice and vs West Brom twice. He genuinely showed he ‘could’ switch it up tactically and get results - that’s the bit I would hope he’s learned from; it’s not a crime to move away from your philosophy for a game or two. What holds him back is just that - his overriding, pig headedness to change when his vanity project is falling apart. He takes things very personally when questioned and can be a bit spiky also. that said, the players seemed to ‘buy into’ his philosophy and if they do, you’ll be ok. Have my doubts about him being a nice guy though, much like the Swans fan above. The portrayal is different from the reality. also - can’t see him liking Fatawu or Mavididi; way too front footed and direct for him. 1
