The cycle of all three promoted teams going straight back down isn't going to last much longer. Wolves, Brentford and Forest all look genuinely threatened over the next couple of years.

I think as long as he's a squad player then that's a good signing. Clearly a good character to have around the squad and a reliable player to come in and do a job when needed.

Obviously the above is redundant if he's anywhere near being first choice

Forest are nearly as embarrassing as us under the Greek drug tycoon. Albeit currently a lot more successful. “A breach of confidentiality” about a release clause is one of the funniest things I’ve heard, it’s a release clause for a reason 🤣

Unfortunately for us we get bugger all really. The sell on clause is 10% of profit and they've already paid us £42.5m.

 

So we'd get £1.75m out of it. 

 

 

Them spitting the dummy over the deal is hilarious though. All clubs sound out a player and his agent first before a deal is struck. Seeing them cry over it because they were stupid enough to put the clause in in the first place is just embarrassing.

Igor Jesus could be an incredible signing for them, if they're losing players now I'd prefer it to be one of their CB's.

 

Doubt Marinakis will run out of money soon either, they're clearly proficient at scattergun recruitment. I mean it could go all tits up if their recruitment starts consistently pulling duds and their main big contract players develop terrible recurring injuries, but they're likely to just keep pouring money on it and playing PSR duck duck goose with their international syndicate network buddy mate clubs.

 

Fully willing to let them sit up there for abit being dodgy aggro bastards if it means the inevitable collapse and fallout is dialled up to 11.

 

Could of course all just be some PR for the fans - "we put up a fight to try to keep your favourite players here, honest" - right after selling Elanga aswell.
