Struggling budget chain Poundland has been sold for £1 and now faces a shake-up which could see some stores close.

Its owner Polish firm Pepco confirmed it had sold the brand for a "nominal" sum to US investment firm Gordon Brothers.

Early to speculate but looks from the videos that potentially the flaps aren't deployed.

50 odd brits too apparently.

Horrific.

I guess we'll find out what happened in due course.

Chances are the whole plane either live in the uk or are visiting their immediate family who do.  Awful for the whole British Indian community.

Apparently 1 survivor according to latest reports. Insane if anyone survives it but fingers crossed there are more to come.

The initial videos and pictures are horrific. Can't imagine experiencing that, let alone going about your day job and having a plane smash into your street.

Even survivors in these cases there’s a high chance they’ll still be completely brain damaged or in a lifelong coma sadly.

Luckily the guy they interviewed has recalled what happened, so he seems OK by some miracle!

The known survivor has already released a statement from the hospital. Was sat in seat 11a.
