On the upside, the redneck, trailer park MAGA zealots won't be able to afford one.

I have a vision of one of the above biting the coin to check it's real and breaks their last rotting tooth.

The biting to see if real gold thing is often misunderstood. If it's 24 carat gold, you would make a mark with your tooth, not break it.

It would be interesting to know if say Trump go voted out tomorrow would next the president straight away stop conflict or would they still carry on the fight whilst the unrest is ongoing. Is it gone beyond point where no matter if the bombs and firing stops, Iran will still hit back and want revenge.

I didn’t realise NCP had gone into administration.

The guy is an utter moron. He's made the world a more dangerous place, he started a war that wasn't need and now he'll accelerate to a global recession due to this.

Oh and Iran have said no where is safe. And this plonker wanted the Nobel peace prize.

He has no intelligence in him at all. He doesn't know what he's saying, flip flops his opinions in two sentences, he's a looney but a dangerous one. Now he's caused chaos and doesn't know how to fix it, so he's leaving it to others to short. He really is a man child. He's so dangerous for the world, it's unbelievable.

Of I was any European leader, I'd be enraged. Anyone who back him needs a sanity check.

I think I know what he is going to do now.  He doesn't play by the rules does he?  Mainly becuase he doesn't understand them, but even if he did, he wouldn't thnik they applied to him.

He is going to stop and go home.  He will leave it up to those who actually need the oil and gas flowing through the straight to sort it out.  Iran will be under pressure from their neighbours to stop firing, and from their buyers to ship oil and gas.  UAE, Saudi, Oman will put together some kind of rebuilding fund to encourage Iran to open the straight, on the assurance that US, UK French etc ships will stay out of the gulf.

It might work eventually.

If Trump had a stroke and died tomorrow and Vance became president he’s 10000% stop this and I’m obviously no fan of Vance but a Middle East war is Vance’s worst nightmare. He’s been completely betrayed by Trump.

So Iran fired a new ballistic missile overnight that could reach Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. That’s 4000km. That now puts the uk in range of Iranian missiles and they don’t seem afraid to use them.

But at the same time he continues to put in place actions to extend the war like preparing troops.

Tomorrow he'll probably say the complete opposite and deny he said it or that it meant we'll continue the war

Never apologise, never explain.

Such people don't even understand the concept of humility. Which is why it's up to other people who do to teach it to them. Sometimes the lesson has to be very blunt.

We were talking about this in the office, frankly we were all pretty surprised, wondering what they've been doing wrong.

Back to the war, I was on a construction site yesterday and they were telling me it's causing havoc with their prices. Everything has gone up so much it's causing serious issues.

I'd imagine a lot of their multi-story car parks are quite old and falling apart like Lee Circle and maintenance cost must be horrendous.

Yes, I work in construction and I’d say costs have jumped 10%. It’ll go further yet I’d imagine, as cost are received and keep rising.

Oil, Gas, Bitumen etc all goes into heating and manufacturing core products like asphalt, Readymix, cement, concrete blocks etc, so it’s just going to sky rocket and shut the sector down as it becomes cost prohibitive.

It’s rental cost apparently that is hurting them.

Less footfall and increased costs.

That's right.

There's quite a few people who follow Trump that are very intelligent and pretty successful.

Which, given what we know now about the guy and what he's doing, means that they're backing all of those actions as well, with full knowledge of what they are and what they mean, for reasons that now can only be evaluated as self-interest directly reliant on the suffering and worse of others.

I'll leave other people to mostly judge what that means about their character, but one thing I will say is that those people are far from stupid. They are incredibly dangerous. To everyone outside their "in-group" in the short term and to everyone wholesale in the long term.

You can be an intelligent moron. These people seem to be just that. They are caught in the ideology and all the fan fare that Fart boy brings.

As you say, that is probably a more dangerous person.

That might well happen. Part of me is thinking that this is all part of a very expensive operation to screw the rest of the world because of their greater reliance on energy from that part of the world. Up until this point stock markets outside of America had done pretty well, now the FTSE 100 has lost all it's gains this year and we are looking at energy hikes, mortgage rate increases and reduced growth across the globe.  But he's surely not that vindicative is he...?

That's unfortunate - perhaps you're using one of the key words that trigger a mod approval request?

If you can inbox your thoughts instead, I'd be interested in hearing them.

That's another possible category, yes.

In any case, I would underestimate such people and the harm they can cause at our peril.

i pretty much explained that with all that goes on in the world.. as much as I dislike him, he’s not the only one! The depravitiy of the human mind is a world wide thing.

I know not your point but does anybody blame them? Isn't it a shared facility with the US?

I am absolutely in no way supporting the Iranian regime but British politicians saying their attempted strikes are "outrageous" snd wrong when the US and Israel have been bombing them for weeks don't make sense, unless I am misunderstanding something. Dont get me wrong strategically its wrong and im not talking about their attacks on other gulf countries.

Absolutely so - there's plenty of men like him, sadly - he's hardly unique in that regard.

However, the degree of power and willingness that such men have to exercise such depravity is important, and he and his backers, right now, have more of both than practically anyone else. And that means they are the biggest problem, as it would be with any other with similar mindset and power.
