Not sad about this one though think we do need to add in some creativity with the funds now. Hopefully there is the chance to do this.

Never particularly warmed to him as a player and frankly feel he's a bit overrated on here. Get gone and finally invest in someone who wants to be here.

I don’t blame him for not wanting to play in the championship. And to be fair he was right to back his ability as he’s got himself a good move.

no hard feelings he won’t be missed or even remembered. . Let’s reinvest the money now..

Not sure why we’d agree to £26m

Maybe because we've recognised we need togetherness. It rarely works out well holding on to players looking for an exit

So we turned down 32m+ from Palace just to agree to 26m?

Clowns

All depends on how the deal is structured. Up front payments, sell on clauses etc.

That's if we ever did have a bid from Palace.

Not bothered. Can't decide if he's going to go on a have a great career or he's turn up in some random europa league game and I'll think 'oh yeah, he used to play for us'.

Hopefully got some of our money back, and put a sell on clause, just in case.

I really hope we get back to the Europa league that’s some optimism you have …. But I understand your point and for me, that’s exactly the type of career he’s destined for

I don't think Palace ever offered 32m did they?

£25million was the rumours and they seemed to be stalling with that

Is there any evidence to even suggest we have accepted £26m all I have seen is a here we go and no mention of fee. Initial rumour was they offered £26m reckon it will be undisclosed but with add ons be closer to £30m

If we end up getting £30m+ or it's 26 and a decent sell on fee, then fair enough. If it's just £26m then we've not done very well there. I suppose it depends on if/how it's spent anyway...

I think we do pretty well in the market at this level. Coady being the only obvious wtf last time.

Cannon, Winks, Doyle, Casadei didn't really work out for us.

Yes Winks on his Premier League wages who shat the bed at PL level was not a good transfer.

Cannon also not a good transfer just because Sheffield United saved us by overpaying further on him. We got lucky.

One of the most overrated players we have had for some time - never got the love in at all and iv been saying the same thing for a long time - if we get anywhere near 30m for this rat we have had their absolute pants down - laters potatoes
