The blokes could do with a Lucy Bronze. World class, been everywhere and won everything without an ego. Leads by example with her effort and determination.

Could do with an Agyemang too really, as soon as Kane goes off the Baton is passed to a striker who can’t really be bothered because they think they should be starting. I guess Delap might become that. Someone young with a bit of desire!

Kelly should absolutely start especially if James is injured and that’s why she went off. Agyemang will probably stay on the bench she is a great option later in the games after Russo has run the defenders into the ground

Yeah, that's a good shout actually, re Agyemang

Just imagine if your club side showed that kind of fight and belief, wouldn't it be good? I'd even consider going to watch them. Well done ladies, just hope Germany can fluke a win over Spain tomorrow, then its ours for the taking.

Got to give a bit of credit to the BBC and ITV as well, there is a lot of backlash from the usual suspects about the Euros taking up prime time spots on TV but the game doesnt grow without exposure. The quarter final again Sweden drew 7.3mill views which isnt huge but i imagine it is a lot higher than they expected, i imagine last nights would have been higher and i suspect the final will be higher too.

Like it or not the game is growing, the quality is getting better and its becoming and enjoyable game to watch - unlike the mens game that is completely riddled with problems.

I enjoyed last nights game more than the ones before partly due to having a decent commentator.

The commentator for the England/Sweden game was so dull and flat that I stopped watching.

Looks to me that the manager needs to start picking the right side from the off. The team at the end much better. Agyemang and Kelly should surely start

Surely they have played there self into the final

Yea I think it helps having a male and female com instead of two females

Spain or Germany would probably punish the general lacklustre and sloppy performances you’d feel but have to be in it to win it I guess

And I think it does show a real never give in attitude or desire to keep going which the manager has install .

like a few have said Seb Hutchinson is one of the best around at the minute, hopefully he will still do a lot of the Championship next season.

One of the many reasons I like watching non-league is that the quality is low and by default that means more unpredictability, less Brendan ball and the players easier to like.

I find Woman's football at the same point. I don't compare it to the mens game, in the same way I wouldn't compare Hampton & Richmond to Chelsea. It's better for it all. I don;t want to watch football with robots playing a game which is to prevent mistakes.

This has always been how I've thought about it. It's why I enjoy the A League and MLS as well. Less robotic and more entertaining.

The only thing that really annoys me is the media absolutely ramming it down your throat. I don't have the news and sports channels bigging up Peterborough Sports or Melbourne City. Nothing more annoying than hearing "Arsenal face Liverpool tonight" or "Chelsea are set to confirm their new signing this evening" and being confused as, before you realise they're discussing the WSL version.

While the media and various popular figures are trying to compare the two, then the knob inside me also feels the need to compare the two. I picked up on the phrasing I just used in that past sentence and am deciding to leave it in place lol

And how do they know the quality of it if they never watch it?

And those that say it all are of a certain ilk.  You could predict them making those comments.

Anyway who needs them, well done England, Amazing stuff.

For the first time ever when both channels have coverage, I’ll be watching a game with England on ITV rather than the BBC purely because it’ll have Seb Hutchinson on comms.

This exactly and also you don't see these fake dives too much. Ok, a lot of times the quality is like watching 10yrs old children but as you said this means more unpredictability. Fact is it looks and feels more like grassroots football which is a positive for traditional fans of the sport.

It's questioned how disattached many feel from the Premier League and Champions League. How players are paid silly sums of money and appear disattached from the average fan.

They don't get paid huge amounts. There's a real issue with ACL and knee injuries which effectively ends your career with very little fall back. Female players still can't outright retire from work when their playing career ends.

Chloe Kelly married Everton's groundsman lol for example. It's far easier to connect with it all.

The faking/exaggeration of injuries is definitely starting to infiltrate the Women's top level teams.

Hopefully it lifts the womens game and gets more people following it, hopefully it will reverse the drop in attendances.
