Half joked that I couldn't wait for his post match insta post yesterday...but he actually has done it and now arguing with fans in the comments.

 

He's gone full Maddison..never go full Maddison. Lemon 🍋

Similar to Maddison in that he is one of the few players who have shown any quality this season but is receiving the brunt of the backlash from fans due to his off field personality.

 

Personally I like the fact that he actually cares and wants to be here, his decision making has been off this season but without his goals we would be staring down the barrel of a second consecutive relegation.

He's a kid that's travelled half the way across the world to play professional football. 

 

The bigger idiot is definitely the muppets arguing with him online, not Abdul. 

 

Leave him alone and let him just learn his trade.

I don't agree. 

 

There's obviously a big difference between a kid like Abdul compared to a Faes or Vestergaard that's come from a country next door with very little cultural variation, that's significantly older with way less culture shock coming here.

Really trying to go after a bloke who gives his all every game and is our best player now are we? Not surprised really from some of the m0ngs who go our games who get a kick out of trying to abuse everyone rather then support the team.

Abdul isn’t the problem here, he’s just a bit misguided and over shares on social media. Everyone loved him in the Championship last time and we thought he’d be our saviour again this time around. It’s not happened but he’s a kid with his heart in the right place and it does seem like he cares, unlike others we could mention. Let’s not hound him out.

He’s probably not as worldly as what we and he initially thought.

 

He possibly isnt the brightest lad in the world (going from his social media)

 

He still works his backside off, he makes mistakes yet still continues to try.

 

He is by a mile the least of our problems

The game versus Sheff Utd sums up his inconsistency. First half, tentative, safe and too often predictable. Either lay back or cut inside and take a shot. Second half, more direct, taking on the full back, linking up better and crossing. He plays better when we are less ponderous in our build up. I wonder if any of our coaches is taking Abdul aside and showing him what he is doing well and what he needs to do to improve- and working on these. I think he tries hard and wants to do well for the team.

He's the least of our problems. Wingers are always inconsistent and go through patches of form. We're so bad going forward the opposition know our wingers are our main threat. They get doubled up on and their passing lanes are shut down. He's still young (he's the same age as Ben Nelson) and coming back from a year out injured.

I think he is bringing it on himself with some of the nonsense he posts.

 

Can't argue he's been one of our better players, and he gives 100%, but he needs to concentrate on his game - not his social media.

Not made as big as a contribution so far as he did last time in the championship but that was always a possibility after having a serious injury 

 

Feel for him as the standard of players around him has dropped, teams set up to nullify him and he gets little support around him. He is predictable with what he wants to do which he needs to work on but can be lethal cutting in and smashing it with that left foot, still a young lad so hopefully learns how to play in these situations and become more effective 

 

Don’t mind him showing a bit of passion, clearly frustrated and that’s shown with his reactions with MC after games. Be optimistic but also recognise how fans will be frustrated, I get it he can’t dig out players/give too much away what’s happening behind the scenes but can easily say results haven’t been good enough and I think fans would be on side a lot more rather than seeming out of touch with where we are currently
