Wasn’t Van Nistelrooy’s fault either then if that’s the basis for defending Cifuentes.

It wasnt all his fault no. It started with Steve Coopers horrendous recruitment that summer. RVN is a shite manager on top though

It's not on him. 

 

He's dealing with what he's inherited and at least he's showing some passion about the city/club. He's definitely asking them to press etc. Some players totally stank the place out today and he did his best to make changes. 

 

Remember we had a coach just a few weeks ago who wasn't even aware if he even had a job. 

 

Our leadership is quite frankly disgraceful. 

 

We have signed 1 player and it's pensioner in goal. We are ****ed. It's not on Mari.

Why wouldn’t Dyche have played Monga or Fatawu?

Consider that Marti is persisting with dross like Soumare and playing Ayew as a 9 to prove a point to the board - "If you don't back me, this is what you get". I wouldn't be surprised if the board think the squad is good enough to compete because of the money they've spent on them (sunk cost fallacy, anyone?) and how well we did 2 years ago.

 

While the window is open and there's a chance he gets his own players in, I'll not be drawing too many conclusions on Marti's team selections.

I think Dyche would have already demanded we signed a number of players and pushed out anyone who wasn't up for a battle, like Soumare, Ayew, Skipp etc 

No way we would be so soft at the back either. Dyche for all his faults, would still know what is needed to get promoted. Not sure Marti does, yet.

Because he barely ever brings through youth players and prefers hardworking, functional wingers? Just looking at what he's done in the past.

Sorry missed that, where can I find it (what page?). Does it cover your point about captain’s because aside from the club Captain, Ricardo I would find it hard to pick a leader in this team. I completely agree on Hamza. Cifuentes says he has read about our history, if this was the case how could he possibly believe he’s captain material.

Oh, so Cifuentes just hasn't asked for new players hard enough? Silly him. And he would have magically found buyers for players that no ****er wants? 😂

 

I do agree we would be better defensively, but that's about it.

Fatawu and Monga are both quite hard working? It’s Mavididi that isn’t.

 

Dyche has played McNeil, Kightly, Lennon, arfield, Boyd, gudmunsson

We need to stop blaming managers when the rot is in other places.

 

We have too many extremely average players on ridiculous wages, no real long-term strategy, senior staff and board members who are either irrevocably incompetent, out of their depth, gone stale or all three. We could sack Cifuentes tomorrow, appoint Rohl on Monday and we'd all be calling him shit when we get stuffed by Charlton. 

 

We need to drain the swamp as much as possible and replace these shithouses with young players who want to wear the shirt. Monga hasn't received his GCSE results yet, and was probably watching Paw Patrol or Topsy & Tim when we won the Premier League, but he was the only bright spark today.

 

We need new players. It's that simple. If we have little to no money, bring in loanees and freebies. But I'm no longer convinced by the no money excuse when we've struck over £400k a week off the wage bill (over £20m a year) and raked in £30m in fees. 

 

I'd have a 4-2-3-1 with a completely new setup. 

 

Stolarczyk in goal, with Begovic to step up if needed.

At the back, Aluko, Faes, Nelson and Kristiansen. Justin's off, Vestergaard has the movement of a barge, Okoli isn't arsed. Faes has actually looked good at this level and we aren't going to get decent money for him, so we may as well play him. Same for Kristiansen. 

In front of the defence, Winks. If he isn't going anywhere, let him feel wanted and important. We then desperately need a mobile box to box midfielder to partner him. 

Next three are Monga, Fatawu and Rego if BEK goes. We get a fee for BEK and bring in a promising lad from a club who produces quality for fun.

Up front, all change. No striker at the club is good enough at present. If we're going to spend even vaguely decent money, this is where it needs spending. We're about as threatening as a eunuch in a brothel right now, so strikers are needed. Splash it on Ivanovic from Millwall, Dju from Midtjylland or a quality young striker on loan from the Premier League if we're that skint.

Who would you play instead though? Guenuinlly it is way to early to be having a go he’s been here 4 weeks
