What a load of absolute shit

Sorry must have missed the bit where he made us amazing and stopped selecting Oliver ****ing Skipp, ****ing skippy the kangaroo is more of a professional footballer than that useless ****. There is absolutely no good reason for him to be in the starting 11 ever.

Today wasn't silky smooth. Far from it.

However we are not a million miles removed from the time Pearson first stepped in back in 2008.

Given the dire state of the club (or at the very top at any rate) right now I'd accept a rebuilding job rather than instant promotion like with Maresca.

Early days. It may get worse before it gets better but if we can get a decent transfer window in January we might hopefully be onto something.

A bit wary of backing the manager after last season but I'd give Maresca a Pass grade for the moment.

I'd agree with everything he's said here. The team put in a shift, been a while since we actually successfully got through a 'backs to the wall' type of game.

He's saying the right things for people who didn't watch the game.  Too many times they had to put in the shift to recover from their own mistakes.  Another manager we have to give time to while watching the same players, make the same mistakes.

He has to be backed with a new midfield and forwards otherwise its this dross all season.

Oh right so your actual issue is Oliver skipp. The options are soumare and winks who doesn’t want to be here. Do you think Marti wants to have to chose from those or do you think he would rather top and Rudkin actually sign some players to assist him?

He’s got the exact same shit options the last manager had, we look worse in every way imo. The club has problems absolutely but you have to apply criticism equally to each manager and this guy is making absolutely zero impact in terms of anything. Zero tactics, style or identity I honestly don’t know what we were trying to do the last 3 games, it can’t really be classed as football. The benefit he has is we are in a horse shit division now so he will sneak a few flukes like today but my goodness 2 shots on target in the Championship against a promoted league 1 team is pathetic.

He can’t really be judged yet.

I want to see what he does when the window is shut and he knows what he has to work with.

I think today he was very fortunate to get a win, but he is also has a lot of issues to deal with on and off the field.

It could easily go either way with him, but to give him a fair chance, we must bring in a handful of players for him to work with.

You need to calm down big time. At least we have won 2 games out of 3 with the state of the squad marti has to deal with. How can you say we look worse in every way compared to it under Ruud? Did we even score a goal under that clown.

Yes we Ipswich and Southampton easily under that clown who also has no backing. I’m just seeing zero difference with this guy which happens when managers aren’t backed. 2 games won out of 3, wait till Birmingham destroy us next week as that will be the first decent opposition we have played! He’s been immensely lucky so far.

I think that if you still think this in 6 weeks time then it’s a valid point. But criticising the new manager that had less than 1/2 the preseason, has lost players, and has players eyeing the exit is very premature.

He's got players who are too thick to carry out the manager's instructions as showed when he pulled Vesty and Okoli over, telling them to touch a touch and play it forward quickly. Didn't see that happen all game.

Plenty of selections not to like but most of those are because he has no choice, and whilst the options remain as they are, what do people expect.

6 out of 9 given the whole situation, is pretty good really.

What the hell are you expecting. And have you actually watched us play in the past year. Not in a month of Sundays would this group of players been able to come away from this kind of game under the previous manager.

Not been pretty and things will definitely have to improve, but it's a pretty decent return.

Thing is, you can’t polish a turd. No manager will get a tune out of this bag of shit squad that we have.  The fact that we are flogging them off is a positive.   It doesn’t address the issue of bringing these garbage players in to begin with, but it’s a start.

It’s plainly obvious that this season is about balancing the books, keeping our heads above water and shopping for bargain if and when they are available.  That’s all this season is going to have to offer.

If people accept that this is how it’s going to be, it almost makes watching us less painful in a morbid sort of way.

Too early to judge imo until at least a few weeks after the transfer window closes and we know exactly who we’ve got. There are a number of players who’s hearts just aren’t in it because they’ve got their next club in sight and just don’t want to commit or even play whilst there’s a chance of moving on. How difficult is that for a new manager to cope with?

Some will go very shortly. Some won’t and it’s then that it is hoped that this manager can cajole a performance out of them in order that they look good in the market for a future move. In such a situation if he can’t, he’s lumbered and can only pick the keen, or young and keen, almost regardless of ability because the non committed will soon poison the dressing room with their negativity. As someone said, it’s looking like a Pearson type situation and we’ll only know what this manager is really about after this transfer window and how he copes and deals with the dross..

What I like is, I think he's just as big on attitude and building a culture as he is the tactics. Because truthfully they are both just as important. The culture at Leicester is disgusting,  and hes making small incremental moves forward in building a team spirit. Give him time

Well said sir, well said.

He's shit, there's no excuse at all for the selection of Skipp and Soumare in midfield, yet again the club employs another complete idiot on a 3 year deal they can't afford to pay off. Relegation looks very likely under this clueless clown.

The clueless bit is your post

I am frustrated with the continual picking of Soumaré and Skipp as a CM pairing that clearly doesn't work, but others are right to point out Cifuentes doesn't really have much choice right now.

His interviews are very encouraging. Post-Charlton and Preston he's said the same thing, regardless of result: He's not happy with the footballing performance, and wants to show the fans something better. That speaks volumes, and I genuinely believe these performances are not what he wants. He just desperately needs bodies in who can actually do the job on the pitch.

Please, please, please, Top, Rudkin, Whelan, whoever can do something to make that happen: Pull your fingers out and give him the tools he ****ing needs, pronto. He deserves better. We deserve better.
