You can't deny that historically our fans have only ever had time for foreign managers. This is why nobody ever really took to Martin O'Neill or Nigel Pearson but by contrast were devastated to see Claude Puel and Paulo Sousa leave

We definitely took to Nigel Pearson! He's a legend!!

I think the issue is that Foreign coaches are just better. Bar Eddie Howe, I struggle to see many good British managers.

What an odd comment

Just catching up from the weekend, watched his interview he speaks so well. He gets it in terms of the fans not being happy. Hopefully we get a performance and 3 points in Friday.

I'd have thought the last part would have been a big enough clue that it wasn't a statement to be taken seriously but seemingly not, somehow. Next time I'll attach a gif of me doing air quotes and a theatrical wink and see if that clinches it

Did wonder, too subtle for me. :o

I think he’s got the hardest job of any Leicester manager in my lifetime, joint with Sir Nige when we dipped to League 1.

He’s got to oversee a complete culture reset, is having experienced (but not necessarily good) sold from under him, has no signings coming in, is facing a points deduction, and is forced to play with very young and inexperienced (but with potential) academy players - some of whom never seemed like they would make the grade. He’s also got to contend with growing discontent in the fanbase and attempt to unite the players with the fans.

He gets a lot of leeway from me.

Championing this mate, I feel exactly the same way and made a post yesterday saying similar. He’s done well so far, in a near impossible job, just need to keep grinding the points out. I think it’s important we aren’t too critical of him, he’s been in the job a couple of weeks, inherited a mess, and hasn’t been able to bring any players in. And we all know how bad the ones he’s inherited are. He’s been brave in incorporating the youth, but we would be very naive to think play then all at once every game is the answer as they have never played senior football before.

Ultimately we need to support and remain patient with marti and the young ones. I couldnt care less about the board, and the rotten core of the squad that have been stinking us out for years.

Martin O'Neill was like God as far as I'm concerned

Nigel Pearson did a good job generally also
