@Foxin_Mad - humour me, what would your starting lineup be with our current squad? I wouldn't include Bilal as he is more or less gone.

Also Marti has shown he's better than RvN as he has made changes in every game and isn't afraid to make the big changes. He is also coming across well. He is dealing with a very unstable situation. Players going, players not wanting to be here, no team spirit. Today wasn't pretty but it had a performance with a bit of grit in it.

Give Marti time, you're being too unfair. I would show my anger to some of the bozos on the pitch.

I am frustrated with the continual picking of Soumaré and Skipp as a CM pairing that clearly doesn't work, but others are right to point out Cifuentes doesn't really have much choice right now.

His interviews are very encouraging. Post-Charlton and Preston he's said the same thing, regardless of result: He's not happy with the footballing performance, and wants to show the fans something better. That speaks volumes, and I genuinely believe these performances are not what he wants. He just desperately needs bodies in who can actually do the job on the pitch.

Please, please, please, Top, Rudkin, Whelan, whoever can do something to make that happen: Pull your fingers out and give him the tools he ****ing needs, pronto. He deserves better. We deserve better.

Winks wants out. He only has those 2 if he wants to build a team for people that actually want to be there. Exactly right.

I’d go:

Jakub

Ricardo

Nelson

Vesty/Okoli

Thomas(Justin if fit)

Hamza

Skipp

Winks

Fatawu

Monga

Daka

Subs to come on: Booby, Ayew, Page, Mavididi….christ we need to sign 3 or 4 players.

We need a 6,8,9 and 10

We need to back him with suitable signings that actually give him a chance. I can’t judge him with this team of players he has to choose from

Let's face it any new signings wouldn't  be good enough for a few on here that hate the new manager already.

You use the word "hate" a lot, always incorrectly. Is this projection?

Nobody hates the new manager ffs

Ipswich lost. Southampton lost. Yeah we were a bit shit but two wins from three is decent and we’re ahead of both the teams we assumed would be top. It’s far too early to be jumping on the manager.

Yes, but how big is your penis? You never mention it nowadays

As I've said since pretty much the start he's got to start making real demands of those above him. I give him some pass for the lineups because he really has been dealt an appalling hand but he's got to demand a better one and if he doesn't he won't be of any use. It's a shame because he seems a sound bloke.

Finally. Someone reached out. Let’s just say it’s even smaller now I’m older and fat. And it was only ever laughable at its best. X

He needs backing, he has walked into an impossible situation, yes his system is reliant in wingers and teams just double up but this is where he need backing. Need a striker and some now CMs. If we can worry teams down the middle they can’t double up and this system will start to work.

Personally I think marti has done ok, however if we don’t bring some fresh blood in, we are not getting promoted and based on performances so far it won’t even be close.

Another thing I've been thinking about, hes getting stick because we don't seem to be a pressing machine as expected.

Hes probably snart enough to see that Ayew cant press, Abdul can but gives away fouls constantly, Monga isn't built to be constantly pressing men twice his age and Stephi isn't great at it either.

Add to that the least physical,  laziest double pivot in the world of "Boubivar Skippmare"

It just doesn't make sense with what he has at his disposal

It shrinks as you get older 😟 thats more shocking than a Skipp Pass

Once again we were pretty average for the first 4 or 5 under Enzo and could have easily lost a couple.

Enzo was appoint on the 16th of June, Marti was appointed on the 15th of July so he had a month less prep.

Before the campaign kick off Enzo had 5 signings for the cost of 30m

Marti has had one free transfer a back up keeper.

All things considered 6pts is amazing start even if we have performed poorly.

Plus Marti is starting off with a worse team, one lacking in balance, has sold several players who would have been in the squad (and likely more), potential points deduction on the way and the general crap atmosphere around the club.

I like him.

But he can't play AYew as a striker. It basically means al build up play is 60 yards from our goal and teams can play a high line. We have no-one running past him as a second or third time runner. If you have that plonker Daka up front, he will spin behind occasionally and that makes opposition have to play deeper or get caught out.

Would like FoxinMad’s thoughts.

Can we see the stats for the back 4 that hasn’t changed in 50 years

its as weak as piss

If he’s not going to be backed, he needs to train the players to stop making the same mistakes and playing style.  What manager would be happy with how Ayew plays?

If they are ignoring his tactics or individual roles, he needs to set an example and just change them.  We wouldn’t be losing out by changing Ayew with literally anyone.

How long can he continue to be happy with watching Thomas never attempt to carry the ball, pass and then make himself available for a 1-2, or when in position watch him get outmuscled.

Hopefully he saw the difference when Ricardo came on, how a player can run with the ball, pass and continue running to assist.

He has to start showing more tactical understanding of the opponents and able to change in game, other than keep passing to Fatawu until he can get by 2 defenders and shoot.

The lack of movement and awareness by our players is the worry.

His willingness to make subs early is a plus point over the last two clowns.

Was discussed not long after it was shown by sky. It’s a very small sample size skewed by the 2nd half vs Sheffield Weds. We had 2 shots on target yesterday. Everything is relative.
