What's it matter.

Surely it's what we think that counts.

Personally at nearly 60yrs of age I've never felt so low about my club as I do now. It's even worse than the administration.

It's  matters a lot ... if you need to attract decent players and staff

Not many people have much knowledge about clubs other than the one they support. I reckon many still seem to think we have great owners because we won the league and the fa Cup, but to be fair, even some of our own fans still think we have great owners.

I speak to a lot of other fans, up and down the country, through work and most of them seem surprised when I talk about the state of the club. I get a lot of "don't you lot love your owners though?".

I think fans of clubs smaller or similar size think we shouldn't complain about anything at all because of the success we've had and then fans of bigger clubs just either simply don't care, or are glad we're not bordering on being a genuine threat anymore.

I am consistently amazed how few people outside of Leicester seem to remember our FA Cup.

I think it's because people just remember the league title and we're associated with that more.

I guess it's similar to Blackburn really, people mention their league title but rarely seem to remember they won the league cup in the early 00's.

I had a full blown argument with a Bristol City fan on Good Friday who said we were ungrateful.

I said to him if you got promoted then but ended up quickly in the bottom 3, you be okay about it all?

I don’t think anyone cares just as I don’t care at all about any other club

But you must have an impression of other clubs.   For instance Brentford or Brighton, perennial no marks, now respected as established Premier league clubs.  It doesn't mean you care about them.

We were respected.  We were the best of the rest.  We were trophy winners.

From big kahunas to laughing stock in the blink of an eye through our own mismanagement.

Unfortunately quite a few now, despite being the 6th most successful English club of the modern era, want and are happy for us to return to being a mainly championship but yo-yo club.

That we're a provincial club that had their moment in the sun and have reverted back to the mean.

And they wouldn't be wrong.

They're just responding to sloppy narratives pushed out by the media wanting to sell a fairy story. The idea that it was miraculous we won the league, 5000/1 outsiders, relegation fodder, somehow magically just won the, probably, second most lucrative prize in professional football.

To people gobbling that up - amidst them, loads of our own fans - it was ridiculous to sack the same manager a few months later.

The fact of that matter is we'd built some absolutely brilliant that won a title on merit, with some incredible footballers, some great sporting infastructure at the club and Ranieri was bit by bit taking it apart and tanking it. The squad had won the league, it shouldn't have been even close to going down, had we done it would have been a far bigger shock than Rodgers' side dropping.

But the press have never wanted to tell that story. These are the same people that act like it's a shock every single year that Manchester United are still rubbish because the assumption is they belong at the top.

I really don’t care what other people think. All I care about is being entertained when I go to watch the football everything else is noise.

Seriously. Baffles me. Even the above only really annoys me because it's just reflective of how poor the standard of football punditry is in this country. I couldn't give a shit what people think about our club on the whole, it's ****ing criney how much some people do. The "do you they mean us" thread is one of the most embarassing on this entire site.
