If he had longer on his contract he’d be a definite keep, unfortunately he doesn’t.

We’d be stupid not to take money when we’re so stocked in full back areas with senior players and have Aluko on the cusp of a breakout year.

Likeable guy but I really don’t think he’s been good enough for some time. Not his fault with the injuries.

What do we need on him PSR wise?

I think getting the wages off the books with a lot of young players coming through in his position would be wise.

Got a lot of time for jj, however we are in a place where I think we need to let some go.

Full backs we have decent options for the level, so if we get a half decent offer i think he’ll move one.

He's very good for the Championship, so not overly keen on him leaving. However if he does we avoid losing him on a free next season, can reinvest the funds (maybe) and forces us to blood Aluko. Not 100% sure Justin works as the Wingback-cum-attacking mid Cifuentes wants to utilise anyway.

Thats correct :) he would be all profit, as when he signed it was a five year deal in 2019.

Gut tells me that this is agent talk to test the waters for a new contract. Why would a Premier League team sign a player who made so many mistakes last season?

They want cover, he's relatively cheap, is professional and has PL experience.

I can see that argument too, just a gut feeling I have..

I actually thought JJ was borderline world class here at his peak, I was a big fan of a young Chilwell but for me Chilwell was the same player at 19 as he was when he left, he never kicked on. Justin was much better at his peak that Chilwell ever was and looked great business selling Chiwell for £50m and replacing him with a player a class above for £8m.

Ever since his injury though JJ has been a shadow of the player he was and could have been. Happy to see him go for a fee especially with a year left on his contract.

I do think that if JJ leaves we need to consider a new left back.  I’m just not convinced Thomas is going to be right for cifuentes and I’m already getting the feeling woyo isn’t rated.  VK has no interest in being here.

I can see this very quickly becoming a problem area on the pitch.

striker, creative cm and lb with some outgoings and we are in business.

I give Justin the benefit of the doubt for the last few seasons. He has previously proven he can step up in the prem. But any half decent offer should be accepted

Yes, before the first of his 2 bad injuries he was destined for the top. His England debut was a year too late as he was already in decline. I would keep him to play left back only (please not right back) unless the fee offered is decent.

Aluko

Without being too much of a Debbie downer, we would simply get ripped apart if our left hand side was aluko and monga.

Aluko in my opinion should get a loan to a top league 1 club

Aluko is ready, Monga/Mavidi/Fatawu will be a fluid 3 behind the striker

Big fan of the guy especially at his best (a long time ago). But sometimes it’s just time to end a relationship for the sake of both parties. That applies to JJ & Ndidi. Thanks and all that, but best for all if we go our separate ways.

Not convinced after the Koln game, seemed to have a lot of positional issues, needs to develop a lot.
