Ayew won’t be able to keep up with mav and fatawu in any counter attacks . Don’t see the point in vestergard either play Nelson he is the future

Not sure Nelson is 100% fit had a few niggles in pre-season, rather have him right for next week.

His hold up play will be useless if he doesn’t release the ball and play others in.  He will just hog the ball and fall over.

Fair enough if that’s the case dont want any unnecessary injuries before the season starts

Didn’t we have Coady as captain the last game? Not sure it all means too much does it? Just fitness and some tactics and all that isn’t it? We’ll still be experimenting well into the season due to the late appointment.

That's my take, with the window being open until a couple weeks into the season a lot of teams will be chopping and changing.

Fair few players who have not so positive history at the club. But the reality is if Marti can get them playing to their potential the whole XI are probably too good for the league.

It's a bit strange seeing how riled up people are getting as though they thought some of these players were not still at the club.

If Coady was in that starting line up, yeah, that'd be a surprise.  But seeing shit players in the team shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.  We haven't fxxked them off yet, so he's going to play some of them.  You can drop any of those shit players, and the player that comes in is going to be moaned about as shit, because a lot of them are.  We know this.

I think this the reality Jim, whatever team Marti picked he’d faced the flak we’re seeing here.

This.

Really don’t understand the anger, has realisation just hit for some fans that our squad in certain areas is crap lol

Vestergaard instead of Nelson is the only real disappointment for me.

Central midfield and striker are clearly the problem areas, but of course that’s been the case all summer.

Rectify those positions with quality, then things will look more rosy.

Why wouldn't it? People are being naive if they think next weeks team is much different to this.

Because we have a large squad? Because Coady showed tomorrow is a different day? Was not commenting on arrivals, more about others already here.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, ridiculous queues at the turnstiles

Let your self down even attempting it when you could be in the pub instead 😂

I expect some of these players to be sold in the days and weeks to come. Consider this friendly an appearance in the shopping window.

My to-leave-list: De Cordova-Reid, Soumaré, Ayew, Vestergaard, Faes, Ndidi, potentially Winks even.

Predictable and i'm afraid disappointing. The biggest being no Nelson from the start.

Not sure he's full fit.

I wouldn't judge this much, Coady started and was captain against Koln and gas now gone.

Still think Marti is playing catch up, and working out the squad.
