Another poor showing, and a very concerning one. I know some are quick to state it’s only game two, however, that is a team in a rot, with no confidence, no self belief and no mental resilience.

We’re carrying a squad largely of players who either want away, or have burned their bridges here. This isn’t conducive to a successful team.

This is a squad on the slide in free fall. Unless we can muster up some miracles with the cheque book, it’s likely we will struggle to stay up.

Far too many mistakes in the team, we’re weak through the spine and have no fight.

Superb post - sums the situation up perfectly

I think Marti will have learned a lot from that, probably one of the things being we don’t have the strength in depth a lot of people say we have.

Also, Hamza isn’t a right back.

Hamza ain't even a footballer ,where honestly could he play where you could trust him ?

And he's now Captain .

It all looks very Stokesq possibly worse for use. Bunch of overpaid shit *****, a club run by morons with no clue. I think the exit route is only one way. We are a very poor side.

As much as Im not arsed in the slightest about going out, the performance was beyond pathetic

So many players just looked like they couldnt be bothered, players who should be putting a shift in to show they should warrant starts in the league

Nelson terrible

Skipp awful

Soumare attrocious

And to touch on Kasey Mcateer, what does he actually offer us? Never ever looks to take on his man, not pacey, end product most of the time is woeful

I honestly think we are in for a bit of a rude awakening this season, its early days I know but compare our performance to Huddersfields its night and day, they looked dangerous whenever they went forward

The question is who is our pen taker in the league without vardy after seeing that honestly haven't got a clue

This is way, way down on the list of problems

Not bothered about the result. That performance was woeful. Huddersfield looked the much more composed team on the ball. They'd made 9 changes as well. We have too many passengers and players that are half arsed. Also some that just aren't good enough.

Long season ahead based on the first 180 minutes. Those who are happy to stay in the Championship for a couple of seasons might get their wish.

Staying in the championship? Think we've got big problems  this time around and all self inflicted. Could be in for a tough few months .

Monga and Nelson the only two that looked decent really.

McAteer was absolutely shocking. Literally didn’t do a single thing well or even right. We looked better (again) when Winks came on but let’s be honest we should’ve been comfortably through.

Every penalty bar Thomas’ was absolutely woeful.

On the flip side, it’s a competition we weren’t gonna win and it’s stopped us making a pointless trip up to Sunderland but nonetheless it’s still annoying when we lose.

I’m sure most of you will be delighted we have lost because it will give you something to have a moan about.

Onto Saturday.

Same players that couldn’t be arsed last season still can’t be arsed, we shouldn’t be surprised to see Soumare ball watching and strolling around, or McAteer taking a shocking first touch. Until there's a turnover in personnel we’ll be seeing the same on the pitch. Given our abysmal recruitment lately, I’d say we’re in deep shit.

I don't get this at all. He seems like he is actively showing he doesn't want to be here...which seems quite unprofessional? I'd hoped he could just start afresh this season.

We know he's unprofessional, in fact, we know he's an absolute cock.

Winks not even acknowledging the fans after he scored sums the club up at the moment. It feels so divided.

Agree. Maybe the players do read the forum. Both Winks and Faes have received pelters. Both of the responses after scoring were the total opposite of Vardy’s ‘Who? ****ing Me!!!’

Somebody put it brilliantly in the match thread

‘Red flags absolutely all over the place’

we just might be in bigger trouble than even I thought

It’s clear who are nowhere near good enough.

Marti needs to start making some decisions on the future of some of these ****ers. Dreadful they have no shame that’s part of the problem

agree we desperately need some John Terry or Roy Keane attitude

Can't wait to see us attack the way Marti makes out in every interview.

We look disjointed and slow from the start.

Pens were awful.

Page and Monga were my picks tonight.

Don't worry in a few months time Kim Jon Top and Genghis Rudkin will be explaining to us why we should stick together although we'd have just been relegated to league one

Let’s see them try and force digital ticketing on us then!
