That's about what I'd do, maybe Nelson for Okoli or Faes just to get him regular game time.    

 

Bilal looked utterly disinterested so I think will either be gone or needs to be dropped.  Which leaves... Ayew to play behind the striker.  And he was utterly woeful.  Not many options there. We simply have to reinforce midfield.

Yeah I get that. I just wondered if that blue moon was out so we could see him boss 3/4 of a game then get substituted and take another 6 months off, so us fans can bemoan none of our other full backs come close to how good he'd be if he was ever fit ...

Even that would be an improvement over last season when we didn't so much battle relegation as accept it fairly early on, and down tools.

 

Sadly we've too many of those players who didn't fight last season still here this season, so, while I'm not worried about relegation, (yet), I do think we'll vastly underperform.

Only a banana skin if the opposition is worse than us, if anything it is the other way round.

 

Yesterday's performance will make most of the country realise, if they hadn't already, that we just not that good and we are not destined for promotion. This is a mid-table team and currently play like one. The pre-season win against Fiorentina looks more like a fluke as the weeks pass.

 

As much as I sympathise with the currently depressing situatuon he finds himself in, we just need Marti to quickly realise which players are the weak links. Soumaré and Skipp should never start again, sulky Winks and BEK instead. Potentially unpopular opinion but Hamza should be nowhere near the team. Anyone that wants to ask what I would do instead, well I don't know, that's above my pay grade.

It'll be a similar XI as yesterday but with a few tweaks (Patson to start, for example) and I expect this to continue until either a) the transfer window closes and we've not signed anyone or b) Marti gets backed and we sign some players he wants. 

 

I expect the board genuinely rate our squad as among the strongest in the league and don't see the need to bring in any players. Marti's best bet is to play that dross, hoping to prove it isn't. After that, he either leans on the academy more or plays the new signings (or, ideally, both)

 

Kool-aid available on request in Peach, Tropical and Cola flavours.

One of the problems is we don’t have a clear best starting 11. Even if you don’t have strength in depth, if you’re lucky with injuries you can still do well. Last time the other Foxes won the County Championship they pretty much used the same 11 all season. But a very quick and dirty look across most suggested teams on this thread have at best 8 in common, and generally only 5 or 6. I’m not arguing with the choices, but the fact that there is no obvious starting 11 shines a light on our squad’s lack of quality. Given the quite astonishing lack of basic competence of the senior management I never thought we were anywhere near a given for automatic promotion. I know many on here have relied on their view that most of the Championship is rubbish to justify their optimism about promotion through the play offs, but if there’s a lack of quality it’s at the bottom half of the table, and the way we are playing, we’re just about Championship quality at the moment. So at this rate, I think a play off place would be an achievement.

Not sure why people are using “banana skin”, Charlton are a half decent side and if anything will look like a proper team unlike us.

Assuming no new signings. Anyone with an eye on the door/ doesn't give a shit can play in the reserves. Even if it means just selecting 5 subs. Need XI players likely to give 100%. Hopefully 2 or 3 in to add the quality before window shuts with 5 or 6 out. No messing now.

Score, then just frustrate us like we've seen so many times. 

 

We are still easy to play against, very predictable. Just nullify the wingers and nullify the team.

never want to see the experienced ones not in the above team pull on the shirt again...they are proven losers both in ability and mentality.

Faes Justin Vestergaard Thomas Skipp Winks Soumare Ayew Daka. Id get them working in the club shop til they leave or just put them on the 9 hole golf course.

Be shocked if BEK is still here by Saturday. 

 

Who steps in in his absence because I very much doubt we have any new player to replace him...
