What I’ve never got about the supporters club is that they have like 30 members. They take one single decker coach to games. They aren’t relevant anymore. Their members average age is like 76. The club aren’t interested in them anymore either. They remind me of the old working men’s clubs. Never wanted younger members but then cried when they all started to die out. The supporters club won’t exist in ten years anyway.

They don't even reference the leadership of the club - are they subsidised? Serious question

Reads like a press release from the East German Socialist Party just before the wall fell...

I'n not a grammar perv or anything, but anybody that formats a letter like this should go to jail.

Goodness me, could they be any more patronising? "We share your frustrations" as though they have some real influence at the club and are of significant importance.

Could someone explain why the hate for the Supporters club?

Can't speak for everyone, but I've never "hated" Cliff et al, far from it. I don't think many people really dislike them. If I was to pick one word to summarise my feelings for them, it'd be "bemused"!

I think they get the odd perk nothing special maybe access to hand over their player of the year trophy but nothing like they use to get. They have a little table in the 1884 sports bar now. The club don’t care anymore about them. They obviously know people work down there for donkey years and especially in the ticket office.

What's the point in that supporters club. Another load of idiots who back the lads by making no noise at all apart from clapping the team off after another defeat. That Linda Ginetta is worse than cliff, She is completely deaf to any criticism at the club.

Aye, there really is a balance to supporting a club. For instance, Leeds and Everton both have more vocal away support than us, however, they also know when to show their discontent and hold their respective clubs to account. I genuinely think that is a big reason why Everton avoided the drop in those seasons where they looked like they could go down. Their players knew that they would face the full wrath of their fans if they didn't pull it out of the bag, but at the same time their fans turned up to our place under Lampard with the best english away ends I've seen alongside Sheffield Wednesday a couple of weeks ago.
