I’m hoping the manager has added a few more tactics or at least hammered our shit players with what he expects them to do.

Pass to the wingers and stand back while they are double teamed.  Pass to Ayew, watch him ignore runners, fall over and not win free kicks. Surely by now fans can stop the cope that his hold up play is a strength and valuable to this team.

Jakub

Ricardo (best position)

Okoli

Vestergaard

Thomas

Winks

Soumare (purely as we'll need a physical presence)

Fatawu

Ayew

Mavididi (if fit)

Daka

Rather have Ayew in the 10. They've started the season reasonably well and whilst we're unsettled as a squad I think games like this need experience, even of the quality isnt quite there. We're the home team but they'll make it somewhat hostile on the pitch and in the stands. Ayew has the ability to win plenty of free kicks at least

Soumare doesn’t have any sort of presence. We’ve known this for years. He can’t run, he can’t tackle, he can’t pass, he offers absolutely nothing.

You're so harsh.

Remember his lung-busting run down the line against Wednesday? Worth a contract extension alone.

Innit. How weird of me to want us to sign some players

Not at all weird.  What is weird that you seem disappointed that there will only be mild booing.

What concerns me, is they’re very good at winning the ball back from a high press, and were exceptionally bad at retaining possession and defending the transition. I just can’t see us coping with them. They’re good at everything we’re really bad at, couple that with us being on our arse and them being sky high, it’s going to make for a very uncomfortable evening.

Highlights from the press conference: Mavididi is fit and BEK is available. No new injuries. Non-committal on transfers but implied the club will only consider players that will improve the 1st team, not squad-fillers.

Rightly so, but worth pointing out that all we have done so far is sell 1st team players and replace them with squad players as he hasn't really promoted any academy players in to those positions.

I think hes garbage personally, but him and Winks is better than him and skipp or skipp and Winks. He offers very little but he does have a physical presence.. whether he puts it to use or not (often not) is another thing. But its better to use it with what we have

Now they've said Bilals available.. him over Ayew.. id still go with Daka.. pure pace up top although we all know Jordan will be in the 9.

Can see Bilal having a stormer.. last chance to push someone to buy him.

2-2 can see Bilal getting one and assuming Stephy makes the squad then him to get the other.

Daka being quick is FoxesTalk's biggest myth since "Kermo was decent".

Agreed, Daka is not quick. Think people have let FIFA and FM stats cloud their judgement on that one

Dunno, hes always looked pretty quick off the ball to me. Problem for me is he doesn't utilise it when he has the ball, and when hes making a run hes too slow to make his decision of when and where to go.. so by that point the 5 yards he'd have gained hes already lost.

Stansfield confirmed to be a doubt for Birmingham.

Be useful him being out. Knock a bit of confidence out of them.. probably pass a last minute fitness test

Some of those choices are out of necessity, others I’m hoping will use the game as a last chance to impress potential buyers.

I'd be surprised if this isn't the team.

They’ll inject him with something to get him through, with the week after being international break.

I don’t fancy this one at all. They will have their tails up and we’ve looked crap other than second half against Sheff Weds.

That weasel faced arse Gray will score as well, or should that he arse faced weasel?

They're one point ahead of us after three games. They lost at home to a League Two side on Tuesday without having a single shot on target, despite having their best attacking players on the pitch for most of the second half. A few days before that, they struggled to beat second-bottom Oxford at home with just one shot on target. Over the first three games, they are 13th in the table for chances created (we're third).

I'd love somebody to explain why everybody seems to regard them as overwhelming favourites....
