I think this will suit us better, they will try and play like Man City but don’t have the players, if we press well (Daka must play) we can have success.

They're probably thinking the same thing about us. Okoli looks like a bomb scare on the ball and Hamza and Luke aren't much better. If we can move the ball back to front quicker, we're in with a chance. If we play our usual tempo and pass backward and sideways for 99% of the game, they'll beat us.

Mate I don’t think Charlton are that good but they just dominated us for 90min, fair enough we won but certainly did not deserve it, a better team that takes its chances would of comfortably beat us, Birmingham will be that side 1.3 away win.

They physically bullied a team with several youth team players on the pitch.  That they were not steam-rollered, and were able to come away with the win deserves some credit, and indeed praise.  Any team that plays football, rather than auditioning for "Gladiators" will provide an interesting challenge.

We will go longer here, Davies wont

If there are no signings and we lose this I can see this getting ugly. I then remember its our fanbase and there will be only some mild booing

You sound disappointed about that.  Sad.

Stolarz

Ricardo

Okoli

Vestergaard (God I hate saying that)

Thomas

Fatawu

Winks

Alves

Monga

Ayew

Daka

Will never happen though

I’d give Alves a start too - he can’t be any worse than Skipp or Soumare surely

Alves does need minutes, or a loan, but from what i have seen so far, especially against Charlton, we massively lack physicality.

Physicality is probably the one thing that Soumare does offer. Alves is like a 9 year old boy, he'll get absolutely smashed to pieces, Even Monga is getting smashed about a bit and he's hard to catch!

I can see it being Daka for Page, maybe Mavididi for Monga if he’s fit.

Personally see Birmingham giving us the run around a little. We might get some nice space on the counter but part of me even hopes this is the match that makes Marti see Vestegaard and Soumare need to be dropped, and we start fresh with some new signings away at Oxford.

Birmingham don't look great on paper, but momentum and positivity can be absolutely massive in this league- look what happened with Ipswich. We're the complete opposite.

I think they're a danger, in terms of both this game and the promotion race (if we even see ourselves being a part of that). The league seems more wide open this year than it has for a long time with all 3 relegated sides looking very average.

Indeed. Their peckers are up, ours are as down as they can be. They’ll dick us.

Quite worried about this one. It’s probably quite early for us. As is the Cov one in a couple of games.

I’m sure if he could but would like to see Riccy and if he is still here, Winks start. Soumare and Skipp don’t have the stomach for this one

Winks has to come in for this, regardless of attitude problems.

Would like to see Ricardo come in, but equally would be harsh to drop Choudhury as thought he was our best player besides Stolarczyk.

Winks for Skipp & someone (anyone) for Thomas as I thought he looked our weakness against Charlton albeit I did think Thomas was improving of late, can probanly chalk off the Charlton one as just being a bad performance & give him the benefit of the doubt.

That midfield gets completely bullied in the middle of the park

Play Ricardo in MF with Winks and Hamza at RB, that's what I'd do.

Yep, there’s nothing more demoralising than a hard-fought away win and a clean sheet that positions you nicely just outside of the play-off zone…

Do you think half the squad care about our position in the league or a grubby fluke of a win at recently League 1 Charlton?

I’d love to be wrong, but I think most of them have a serious case of feeling sorry for themselves.

Will be delighted if they follow the Ipswich model, haven't beaten us or finished above us since the stone age.

That's a good call.

Ricky and Winks have a natural connection and with our midfield being so bereft I'd play the 2 of them

I've played against midfields at 5 a side that are harder to get at than that!
